Cui Hanbai, born in January 1963 in Tianjin, graduated from Tianjin Medical University in 1987, went to the United States to study and work in 1993, and returned to China in January 2006. He currently teaches at Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and is part-time a master tutor at Central South University. Mr. Cui began to learn calligraphy in 1966, and since 1976, he has been a calligrapher from Professor Wang Xuezhong of Tianjin University, learned calligraphy from Mr. Gong Wang, and was a seal engraver under Mr. Xu Gaoling. His works have won the first prize of the first national college student calligraphy competition, the fourth national calligraphy seal engraving exhibition, the fourth national main book exhibition, the first national calligraphy and cursive book exhibition, the third calligraphy Lanting Award, the highest award of the first China Calligraphy Exhibition, the highest award of the second album exhibition of the Chinese Calligraphers Association, the highest award of the first Weng Tonghe Award, and the 7th Chinese Calligraphy Lanting Gold Award. He once served as the vice president of the Yanhuang Artists Association of the United States, the vice president of the "East-West" Art Exchange Association, the secretary general of the Lanting PEN Association in the United States, the director of the Chinese Art Association of the United States, and one of the heads of the International Artists Association of the United States. He is currently a member of the Chinese Calligraphers Association, a director of the Tianjin Book Association, and a member of the Creation and Evaluation Committee of the Tianjin Book Association. ”
