Guangzhou Fine Arts Exhibition is the largest comprehensive art exhibition in Guangzhou, with the widest scope of participation, the largest variety of fine art works, the most influential and authoritative, which epitomizes the high level of art creation in Guangzhou in recent years, and is also a professional exhibition against the national art exhibition and the provincial art exhibition. As the first art exhibition in Guangzhou with the theme of welcoming the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, this exhibition focuses on the great era, using Danqing brushes to focus on themes such as national prosperity and strength, national rejuvenation, and people's happiness, and through different forms of artistic expression, records, depicts, and praises the achievements made in all aspects of mainland economic construction and social development, as well as the people's beautiful life, vividly showing Guangzhou's profound cultural heritage and rich artistic atmosphere. It concentrated on the Chinese story and Chinese spirit of the Chinese people's unremitting struggle to realize the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, and enthusiastically praised the party's century-old glorious course. The works in this exhibition are rich in themes and diverse in style, and many realistic works that pay attention to reality, life and the present have emerged. There are "New Mission in White Clothes" and "Sending Doctors to the Countryside" that praise the image of "white-clad soldiers", "Shubian Heroes" and "Monuments" that praise the soldiers of the Shubian Frontier of the Weiguo, "Journey" that shows the heroes of space and space travel, and there are also works such as "Playing the Edge Stove", "Catwalk Show" and "Guangzhou Morning Tea" that reflect the people's beautiful life, as well as works such as "Labor Hymn" and "City Builder No. 3" that praise the style of ordinary laborers, and different themes are diverse and unified. Fine works gather together to praise the people's heroes
In addition to the participation of professional artists from a series of professional art units such as the local Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, Guangdong Academy of Painting and Guangzhou Academy of Painting, the authors of this exhibition also invited a number of famous artists to select and send high-quality works to participate in the exhibition. With the theme of praising the great party and praising the people's heroes, their works show the glorious history and heroic feats of the party leading the people's army to overcome countless difficulties and obstacles, highlight the firm communist ideals and beliefs of the revolutionary predecessors, and reveal the connotation of the times of "not forgetting the original heart". The works have both realist-based creations and romantic freehand depictions, which not only pay attention to drawing nutrients from traditional painting, but also draw on various cross-media modern elements, and achieve organic combination of narrative and artistic aesthetics. Among them, Tang Daxi, honorary chairman of the Municipal Artists Association, created a sculpture depicting the revolutionary couple "Zhou Wenyong and Chen Tiejun"; Wang Xiaoshu, chairman of the Municipal Artists Association, created an oil painting comic strip reflecting the heroes of the people's public security, "Naked Son Danxin Casts a Golden Shield -- The People's Good Police Officer Li Shiquan"; Vice Chairman Xu Hongfei and Li Xiaobai created sculptures "Chen Duxiu and Li Dazhao" respectively, the Chinese painting "Jiao Yulu, the Servant of the People", and "The Communists -- He Shuheng, Dong Biwu, Wang Gemei, Deng Enming", which showed the style of the older generation of Communist Party members. Chen Hao, vice chairman of the Municipal Artists Association, said that a considerable number of oil paintings were selected for this exhibition, reflecting the overall level of oil painting creation in Guangzhou at present. Guangzhou's unique geographical location on the Maritime Silk Road has benefited from the introduction of modern Western imports, and the oil painting technique was transmitted from here to the north more than 400 years ago. The selected oil paintings this time are not only close to life, but also have a variety of different forms of expression, reflecting a pluralistic state of "vitality".

In recent years, the Guangzhou Artists Association has actively cultivated young art talents, promoted the integrated development and comprehensive improvement of the construction of the art team of new literary and art groups, actively created and built the "four major" art creation spaces - oil painting creation space, Chinese painting creation space, watercolor painting creation space, and comic book creation space; organized artistic creation guidance and support for young art talents, vigorously publicized and promoted, so that a group of young art talents stood out.
