On February 22, the BMW i4 was officially launched in China, launching two models, the BMW i4 eDrive40 and BMW i4 M50, priced at 449,900 yuan and 539,900 yuan respectively.
Currently, the BMW i family consists of the BMW i4, BMW iX and the new BMW iX3. According to the plan, in 2022, BMW will have 7 new energy products in the Chinese market, including 2 plug-in hybrid models.
Electric powered coupe performance
As BMW's first all-electric four-door coupe, the BMW i4 eDrive40 and BMW i4 M50 are equipped with the fifth generation of eDrive electric drive technology, with powerful electric acceleration performance and pure electric range, and integrate BMW's experience in developing sports luxury coupes.
The BMW i4 eDrive40 motor has a maximum output of 250 kW, accelerates in 5.7 seconds from zero to 100 km/h, consumes energy as little as 14.7 kWh per 100 km/ h, and has a cruising range of 625 km/h under CLTC standards.
The BMW i4 M50 motor has a maximum output of 400 kW, a peak torque of up to 795 Nm and an acceleration of only 3.9 seconds from 100 km/h. Under CLTC standards, the vehicle has a range of up to 560 km.
As M's first high-performance electric vehicle, the BMW i4 M50 is also equipped with a number of innovative technologies. The new car is equipped with an all-electric four-wheel drive system that intelligently distributes the drive force, resulting in an outstanding dynamic response at each wheel and efficient transmission of drive force to the wheels. At the same time, M's unique chassis technology and electric drive technology are combined through innovative technologies such as BMW M's exclusive tuning and testing, tailor-made M adaptive suspension, specially tuned springs and shock absorbers, variable sports steering system, additional body reinforcement components and M braking system.

The new car's intelligent, connected cockpit features the BMW brand's cutting-edge digital luxury technology. The new BMW iDrive, BMW operating system 8.0, all-in-one floating curved screen, redesigned user interface, and powerful connectivity and data processing capabilities make the interaction between the driver and the vehicle smarter.
The integrated floating curved screen integrates a 14.9-inch touch display and a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel, and is tilted about 6° in the direction of the driver, which not only highlights the driver-oriented design, but also makes the entire cockpit very sci-fi.
The M50 also comes standard with more luxury features, including the Harman/Kardon high-end sound system, wireless phone charging, active cruise control and more.
