I am a little reluctant about the Winter Olympics and the ice piers, but I am very willing to give up for the children.

There is always a new atmosphere in the beginning of the school, and parents always want their children to set more small goals, develop more good habits, and make more progress and grow more.

I can understand such a mood, but don't worry, fat people are not eaten in one bite, and habits are not formed in a day.

Today I'm going to share with you one of my practices, which I call —.

Small improvements.

Improve a little bit every day or week so that the goal is not too ambitious and the child is easy to achieve.

It's like practicing long-distance running, it's too difficult to run 10 kilometers in one go. Might as well be 800 meters today, 850 meters tomorrow, 900 meters the day after tomorrow, 50 meters more every day... Or slow down a little more, 50 meters more per week, it's much easier.

I've always stressed the need to work efficiently. And efficient time management comes from scientific processes and scientific methods, but also from children's concentration.

Looking back at Peanuts all the way from elementary school to middle school, I have this experience:

Primary school learning tasks are less difficult and less difficult, and children can generally cope with them. But if you don't pay attention to cultivating concentration at an early age and developing good habits and good methods, when the burden of secondary schoolwork soars and the child continues to cope with a low level of self-management, the problem will erupt.

Peanut also encountered such challenges at the beginning of the first year of junior high school and the first year of high school. It's just that his concentration is not weak, and his study habits are OK, so he constantly adjusts under pressure, and generally after a few months, it is much better.

Children with weak concentration are usually manifested as:

When doing homework, he will interject when he says a word to his parents from afar; or sit at the table for less than 10 minutes, he will get up to go to the toilet, drink water, eat, or play with erasers, daze, doodle... In this way, the homework will definitely drag on and will not be completed in half a day.

Parents do not have to worry too much, children are distracted, easy to be disturbed by surrounding things, this is also a normal phenomenon, adults often do this.

For the cultivation and improvement of concentration, today I share 4 ways, which are also the practical experience of me and my friends.

01

Small improvements – a little bit of improvement every day

For a child with weak concentration, if he can only concentrate for an average of 15 minutes, it is necessary to start step by step, starting with the tasks he can complete on his tiptoes - breaking down the tasks into 20 minutes and reminding them with a timed alarm clock or pomodoro clock.

If the child can do it, you can gradually increase the length of the task, to 25 minutes, 30 minutes, the child's concentration can be longer and longer.

02

It is easier to focus after doing moderate exercise and then learning

This method is not invented by me, behind it is brain science.

Many children have difficulty concentrating in class or doing homework, and they always move or desert, and many parents will doubt whether their children have ADHD.

In fact, except for a very few phenomena, most children are not "ADHD", they just lack age-appropriate activity and play time.

After consuming physical energy to release energy, children are more likely to calm down and concentrate on sitting and learning.

Peanut and I also feel that although the body is a little tired after exercise, the spirit is very good, the mind is fresh, especially conducive to concentrating on mental work.

There's also a little trick that allows your child to control his or her sudden distractions, such as trying to get up in class.

03

Electronic products are used intensively and placed far away when doing things

This is also suitable for adults.

To maintain concentration, from another aspect is the need to reduce the interference factor, then you can focus on watching electronic products such as mobile phones for a period of time a day, and set screen time. Put your phone in the distance while you're doing your business.

04

Use your phone to manage your phone

If you can't do point 3, you can also use your phone to manage your phone.

One of the ways to do this is to set screen time as I just said.
