According to historical records, after the death of Jeroboam, 100 ministers were martyred for him. After the Liao Dynasty, both Jin and Yuan inherited and carried forward the system of living burial. Zhu Yuanzhang saw that the people's lives were difficult at the end of the Yuan Dynasty, because the harsh taxes and miscellaneous taxes of the Yuan Dynasty were serious, which caused the people to be unhappy, so Zhu Yuanzhang decided to expose the pole.
However, such a king who came from the people, understood the hardships of the people, and did not think that Zhu Yuanzhang had restarted the system of living martyrdom. Today's story is recorded in the folk wild history, its authenticity can not be verified, after zhu Yuanzhang's death, a beautiful empress, desperately escaped and the tomb keeper began a new life.
Since Zhu Yuanzhang's death, more than ninety people have been martyred for him, of which more than forty are concubines in the harem, and most of the rest are palace women, excluding the concubines who have died one step ahead of him when Zhu Yuanzhang was dying, and most of the remaining eighty or so are forced to commit suicide.
Since learning that they were the subjects of martyrdom, most of the harem concubines began to find ways to escape, but how could women who had no power to tie their hands get a glimmer of life in the hierarchical court? In the end, they were forcibly strangled by the eunuchs and thrown into Zhu Yuanzhang's funeral pit, of course, there was another type of person who was thrown alive into Zhu Yuanzhang's funeral chamber.
After Zhu Yuanzhang's death, in order to prevent someone from stealing his tomb, he even used 13 coffins to confuse the public, and the empress was loaded into a carriage and sent to the cemetery. In the middle of the night, a soldier saw a woman running desperately inside the imperial tomb, this woman was injured in many places, and her clothes were not neat, which attracted the attention of the soldiers, and the woman was quickly captured by the soldiers, but the soldiers were shocked when they saw the woman's appearance, because this was the queen.
The queen was still young and did not want her life to be ended, so she would break free and escape, and after being caught by the soldiers, the queen knelt down and begged for forgiveness. The soldiers also pitied the queen's suffering, so they chose to let her go, but they were worried that after the queen appeared in the public eye, he would also bring himself the disaster of killing, so he kept the queen hidden.
With the passage of time, the two people have feelings, in a quiet place, living an indisputable life, although the queen is not as good as before, but the days are also happy and ordinary, the most ordinary days, let her feel the happiness of a long time. I thought it would be a secret forever, but I didn't think that ten years later, the case was exposed.
During Ming Chengzu's reign, he heard that the tomb keeper was guarding himself, living with Zhu Yuanzhang's mourners, and had his own children, which made him feel the royal majesty and sweep the ground, so he decided to sentence these two people to capital punishment. But at this time a minister came out to intercede.
He told Ming Chengzu that this matter had been going on for many years, and they had been living near the imperial tomb, and they were dutifully guarding the imperial tomb, so it was better to let this matter go directly. If this matter is known to everyone, then the Daming royal family will also be laughed at by the people of the world, and Ming Chengzu obeyed the advice of the minister, so these two people were able to save their lives.
Summary: This matter is a folk legend, the authenticity of which needs to be examined, but presumably in the historical period, such a thing is impossible to happen, but this story also shows us the side of people's hatred for the burial system of the living, as well as the yearning for the pursuit of a better life. When the door of the tomb was closed, the empress could not have run out, and after Ming Chengzu knew about this matter, it was impossible to let these two people go.
This incident is the most beautiful yearning of people without the power of chickens, in that hierarchical society, who hope to find the slightest emotion under the cold imperial power and oppression. It is precisely because the feudal period represented the interests of a small group, so it must be abandoned by history, and today we live in an era of fairness and freedom, there is no distinction between noble and inferior, and the good wishes hidden in the hearts of the ancients have been realized after a thousand years.
