Why do the new energy models that are hot in the new car market become "hot potatoes" in the second-hand car market? Experts pointed out that in the cost structure of a new energy vehicle, the cost of batteries accounts for the majority. A few years ago, batteries accounted for about half of the cost of the vehicle, and with the reduction of costs, it now accounts for about 30% or 40%. It is such a high-cost component that does not have a corresponding value standard after decay.

Experts pointed out that the attenuation and health status of power batteries require professional equipment to detect and obtain key data, and calculate through a large number of proprietary models and algorithms in order to assess the battery condition and then judge the value. Therefore, compared with fuel vehicles, the retention rate of new energy used cars is much lower than that of traditional fuel vehicles.
Wang Du, deputy secretary-general of the China Automobile Dealers Association: According to this statistic of the China Automobile Dealers Association, the retention rate of traditional fuel vehicles in three years should be about 65%, while the three-year retention rate of new energy vehicles is only about 43%, which is far lower than that of traditional fuel vehicles.

The automotive industry began to establish a battery capacity attenuation evaluation system
At present, the problem of poor circulation of second-hand new energy vehicles has attracted the attention of car companies, industries and relevant departments, and all parties are taking action to solve this problem by improving the technical level and increasing services.
