Binzhou Daily/Binzhou News On February 15, Liu Chenguang's solo exhibition "Art Cai Xinfeng - Shandong Art Newcomers New Works Exhibition (2022)", sponsored by the Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism and undertaken by Shandong Art Museum, opened in the "sharp" space on the second floor of Shandong Art Museum.
It is understood that the "Art Color Xinfeng - Shandong Art Museum Newcomer New Works Exhibition" is an annual exhibition sponsored by the Department of Culture and Tourism of Shandong Province and undertaken by the Shandong Art Museum, and has been held for four sessions since its launch in 2016. This year's exhibition was nominated by experts, qualification review, on-site voting, centralized reconsideration and submitted to the Shandong Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism for review, and a total of 19 authors were selected. Among the 19 authors, there are 14 Chinese paintings, 3 oil paintings, and 2 comprehensive materials.
Liu Chenguang is currently a member of the China Artists Association, a master of fine arts students and a visiting scholar of the China Academy of Arts. In recent years, his works have been selected for various national fine art exhibitions, and in 2017, he won the 10th Shandong "Taishan Literature and Art Award", and his works have been collected by many art museums in China. This exhibition exhibits a total of 20 masterpieces created by Liu Chenguang recently. The exhibition runs from 15 to 27 February.
As the only young painter in Binzhou who was invited to participate in the exhibition, Liu Chenguang said that the Shandong Art Museum is the highest hall of fine art exhibitions in the province. It is a great honor to be invited to participate in the "Art Cai Xinfeng - Shandong Art Newcomers New Works Exhibition". The exhibition features sketches from multiple regions as well as a large-scale creation. There are both green and green landscapes and ink landscapes. "This exhibition is a summary of my stages in the field of painting, and I hope that through this exhibition, I will listen to everyone's valuable opinions and make my future artistic creation goals clearer, my thinking clearer, and my works more perfect." After seeing Liu Chenguang's works, Yang Xiaogang, director of the Shandong Art Museum and vice chairman of the Shandong Provincial Artists Association, commented: Reading Liu Chenguang's works, you can feel that he is a painter who is in awe of tradition. During his studies at the China Academy of Fine Arts, he pursued the Song and Yuan realms, immersed himself in the study and feeling of the ancients' pen and ink charm, and laid a good foundation for his subsequent artistic path.
What is valuable is that he did not fall into the solidified pen and ink program when painting, connecting the traditional pen and ink with the atmosphere of modern life, changing the ancient method to "for my use", so that the traditional pen and ink program shows the vigorous vitality of modern life. His sketching works, whether facing the scenery of Yimeng or Jiangnan, can write a unique style of one scene at a time, and in the process of dialogue with the creation of heaven and earth, appreciate the vitality of nature, perceive the authenticity of self, and appeal to the realm of pen and ink.
"His works are rich and varied, complex and simple, the ink color is warm, elegant and elegant, and the picture temperament reflects his emphasis on humanistic cultivation and cultural accumulation - creating a plain and innocent artistic conception between the tightness of ink and the sparseness of the lines, updating the expressive language of traditional ink painting, thus finding the convergence point between traditional landscapes and modern people's spiritual feelings." Yang Xiaogang said.
He Jialin, a famous painter at the National Academy of Painting of China, learned that Liu Chenguang was invited to participate in the exhibition and gladly wrote the preface to the exhibition. He Jialin said that Liu Chenguang has the tenacity and intelligence unique to Shandong people. After graduating, Chenguang has been diligent in writing and ink, and has gradually formed his own distinct personality in his creation, becoming the best among his peers. Chenguang is diligent and studious, and his pen and ink perseverance are never too late. Morning light can be diligent in skill, law in cultivation, law and nature, and have today's mountains and rivers.
According to the annual exhibition work plan of Shandong Art Museum, "Yicai Xinfeng - Shandong Art Newcomers New Works Exhibition (2022)" is scheduled to be held from January to November in the "Sharp" space on the second floor of Shandong Art Museum. About 20 works by one artist are exhibited at a time, with an average exhibition period of about 20 days.
