On October 17, 2021, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the discovery of Yangshao culture and the birth of modern Chinese archaeology, General Secretary Xi Jinping sent a letter of congratulations, fully affirming the major achievements and important roles played by China's archaeological work in the past 100 years, emphasizing the promotion of the fine traditions of rigorous and realistic, hard work and dedication, and striving to build archaeology with Chinese characteristics, Chinese style and Chinese style. Wang Tingqi said that over the past hundred years, generations of Chinese archaeologists have worked diligently and searched up and down, constantly exploring the origin and development of Chinese civilization. As an important part of Chinese archaeology, Shandong archaeology has also gone through the same process. Since Mr. Wu Jinding discovered the Chengziya site in 1928, several generations of Shandong archaeologists have worked the land of Haidai to establish a relatively complete archaeological and cultural framework from the Paleolithic age to the Neolithic era to the historical period, making Shandong one of the important regions that empirically prove the 5,000-year-old Chinese civilization, revealing the deep connotation of Haidai culture and its irreplaceable role in the formation of Chinese cultural traditions. In 2021, six archaeological excavation projects in Shandong were selected as China's "Top 100 Archaeological Discoveries in a Hundred Years", ranking third in the country.
A series of achievements cannot be separated from the generations of archaeologists, including old gentlemen who are already old, famous experts and scholars who are active in the forefront of academia, and young talents who are fighting in the front line of archaeological work. Their life experiences are all part of Shandong's archaeological history, but archaeologists are characterized by an obscure focus on field archaeology and academic research, and lack of systematic oral history records. With the passage of time, it is particularly important and urgent to rescue the oral history of respected old archaeologists. To this end, after careful study and careful consideration, the Department of Culture and Tourism of Shandong Province officially launched the oral history project of "Haidai Archaeology Everyone Talks", comprehensively recording the mental journey of Shandong archaeologists, systematically showing the struggle process of Shandong archaeologists, presenting the glorious history and achievements of Shandong archaeology, and condensing the shandong archaeological spirit with Haidai style.

Shandong archaeology has experienced several generations of inheritance, and as a mainstream media, Jinan Times and the new Yellow River client have also been following the footsteps of archaeologists, and after years of reporting, they have formed a fine tradition of archaeological reporting, and are important witnesses and recorders of Shandong archaeology.
As early as 1999, when the luozhuang Han tomb was excavated, the archaeologist of Jinan Times ate and lived at the archaeological site to track the report, and with the Luozhuang Han tomb being selected as one of the top ten new archaeological discoveries in the country, the relevant reports of Jinan Times also set off a boom in archaeological reporting in the media of the province. How to talk about oral history? The experts have something to say
At the expert consultation meeting after the launching ceremony, Experts such as Wang Yongbo, You Shaoping, Wang Shougong, Zheng Tongxiu, and Sun Bo expressed their views on the content and form of oral history projects, character recommendations, and publicity and promotion methods, and put forward valuable suggestions.
Yu Shaoping elaborated on the necessity and social significance of oral history projects from three aspects, and believed that in the process of "seeing things and seeing people" in oral history projects, it should reflect the development of the times, economic development, and cultural relics protection system, and closely combine the three aspects so that the audience can see the stories that contain the current economic development of the times and the development of cultural relics protection and construction.
Wang Yongbo believes that the oral history project "how to talk" is the key, providing three ideas: the first is to start from the major events of archaeological discoveries, that is, to lead clues from important archaeological discoveries in Shandong; the second is from the perspective of archaeological history, reflecting the development of the times with the working state of archaeologists in different eras; the third is from the perspective of supporting China's five-thousand-year culture, which is based on the fact that Shandong has the clearest archaeological cultural sequence in the national archaeological community.
Is it to see people or to see things? Is it to highlight major archaeological findings or to highlight experts? The experts at the meeting agreed that it is best to combine the two organically. In terms of presentation form, everyone's views are basically the same. Zheng Tongxiu said that archaeology is a very rigorous and serious thing, and it is necessary to pay attention to scientificity, rigor, fun and story. At the moment of pan-entertainment, CCTV's "Archaeological Open Class" and other programs have shown a high level, archaeological programs should let experts look rigorous and scientific, let the people look happy, but not too entertaining, rigorous should be placed in the first place.
Sun Bo reminded that the purpose of the project is to "record the glory of archaeology for a hundred years and show the glory of Qilu archaeology", and we must first figure out what aspects can be proud. Paying attention to the role played by archaeologists in it, the important point is the methods, experiences and theoretical achievements accumulated by generations of archaeologists through diligent exploration.
