Four detachments of Henan high-speed traffic police cracked a hit-and-run case
At about 11:00 on February 9, 2022, the four detachments of the High-speed Traffic Police Corps of the Henan Provincial Public Security Department received an alarm from the highway administration department of the jurisdiction: an accident occurred in the eastern half of the 489 km plus 900 meters of the Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao Expressway, and the vehicle that caused the accident fled away from the scene. Shi Jilei and Shen Chendi, police officers on duty of the accident brigade, quickly rushed to the scene to carry out investigation work after receiving the instruction, and through evidence such as vehicle fragments and guardrail collision traces left at the accident site, the vehicle that caused the accident was initially locked as a white small passenger car, and the accident police used road surveillance video and bayonet information to further investigate the fleeing vehicles.
At about 14:00 on the same day, Yang Zhonghua, deputy detachment leader who was leading the team at the Henan-Hebei Public Security Checkpoint, found that a white Mitsubishi off-road vehicle had collision marks in the process of inspecting the vehicle, and the bumper of the car fell off and the body was attached with blue paint marks, which was suspected of causing an accident. The police immediately stopped the car and learned about the situation with the driver, and after questioning, the driver Xiong confessed to the illegal behavior of driving away from the scene without calling the police after crashing into the guardrail. The accident police compared the car body fragments left at the scene with the vehicle, and the results were consistent, and the police further questioned the driver and the passenger of the car, and took them back to the scene of the accident for identification.
After handling the accident, the accident police punished the driver Xiong Mou's illegal behavior of hit-and-run in traffic according to law, and criticized and educated his behavior. At this point, with the cooperation of the provincial border checkpoints of the four detachments and the accident brigade, the escape accident was quickly cracked.
