Recently, we learned from relevant channels that after Mercedes-Benz EQC, Beijing Benz will usher in the second domestic pure electric SUV - EQE SUV. At present, the application for the localization production and technical transformation project of the car has been approved. According to the information previously disclosed by foreign media, the model project is at the end of development and testing, or will be listed in 2023.
Unlike EQC, which is built on the GLC fuel vehicle platform, this new SUV model will be developed on the EQE and the EVA2 platform where EQS is located. In terms of appearance, it is expected to continue the design style determined by the EQ series. The net will not only place the radar and sensors needed for the driver assistance system, but may also install an active wing that can be opened and closed, thanks to which the wind resistance will be greatly reduced at high speeds. At the same time, it can also be clearly seen from the spy photos currently disclosed that the car will also be equipped with aluminum lightweight wheels that are more aerodynamically designed.

In terms of interior, it is expected that the overall design of the new car will have many similarities with the car of the same name. The latest version of the MBUX car machine, which debuted at EQS, will not be absent, and the interconnected system composed of a 12.3-inch electronic instrument, a 17.7-inch central touch screen and a 12.3-inch co-driver touch screen will become the standard for new cars.

In terms of power, EQE will supply both two-wheel drive single-motor and four-wheel drive dual-motor models. Among them, the single-motor model has a maximum power of 215 kW (292 hp) and a maximum torque of 530 Nm, while the relevant power parameters of the four-wheel drive model EQE 350 have not yet been announced. In terms of battery life, the new car will be equipped with a battery pack with a capacity of 90.6 kWh, and the cruising range may reach 650 km.
