The US edition of fashion magazine InStyle is on the verge of a full digital transformation, and the April issue is its last printed issue.

Last year, InStyle's parent company, Meredith, was acquired by Dotdash, which once owned dozens of fashion and lifestyle media brands, and Dotdash is a complete digital media company, formerly known as the well-known US portal About.

Transformation means layoffs, and looking at media reports, dotdash's digital transformation of six media brands packaged and acquired from Meredith will see about 200 jobs disappear.

The logic of transformation is not complicated, fashion brands continue to reduce advertising budgets in print magazines, and digital fashion media is more favored. Over the past few years, fashion magazines such as Teen Vogue, Glamour US edition, marie Claire US edition and other fashion magazines have been digitally transformed.
