Wu Minxia, China's first Olympic "hardware" champion, had a second child and learned something with the "champion mother" preparing for pregnancy

Wu Minxia, a Chinese female diver and the first female Olympic "hardware" champion in Chinese history, updated the dynamics on the social platform on February 7, with the text saying: It should be 4 people, really 4 people, everything is very 'good'.

Wu Minxia, China's first Olympic "hardware" champion, had a second child and learned something with the "champion mother" preparing for pregnancy

Wu Minxia, who made up the word "good", announced the news that the second child had given birth, which triggered heated discussion. In December 2018, Wu Minxia gave birth to the little princess under the escort of the obstetrics and gynecology team of Zhongshan Hospital affiliated to Fudan University, and now the little prince is born smoothly in Zhongshan Hospital. With the liberalization of the "three-child" policy, more and more elderly women will join the pregnancy and childbirth team.

What should elderly women pay attention to in order to give birth to a healthy baby smoothly? Experts from Zhongshan Hospital said so.

A comprehensive preconception physical examination

Comprehensive medical examination. Early detection of various medical and surgical diseases, other conditions that are not suitable for pregnancy. Especially in the elderly (women over 35 years old or men over 45 years old), avoid pregnancy only after the discovery, diagnosis and treatment is relatively passive.

Pay attention to birth spacing. If the first birth is a normal birth, it is recommended to prepare for pregnancy after half a year, which can not only meet the first-born breastfeeding problem, but also restore the mother's body after childbirth. If the first birth is by caesarean section, the uterus has been cut open, preferably about 2-3 years apart, to avoid the risk of another pregnancy with a ruptured uterus.

Folic acid supplementation in advance. Folic acid supplementation in the first 3 months of pregnancy can prevent fetal neural tube malformations. If folic acid is not taken in time before pregnancy, it should be supplemented until 12 weeks of pregnancy after pregnancy.

Something to pay special attention to

Older couples have a lower chance of conceiving than younger ones. If you have been actively trying for half a year and are still not pregnant, it is recommended to consult a reproductive medicine specialist and choose assisted reproduction if necessary.

Emphasis is placed on prenatal screening for chromosomal abnormalities. The probability of abnormal fetal chromosome numbers at advanced age increases, and noninvasive DNA testing or amniocentesis is recommended for prenatal diagnosis. Eugenics and good breeding, health and well-being are the first priority.

The scarred uterus should be extra careful. Scarring the uterus includes a history of previous caesarean section or removal of fibroids, assessing the scarring status of the uterus before pregnancy, and detecting the presence of uterine diverticulum in a timely manner. Strengthen monitoring during pregnancy, control weight, avoid the possibility of macrosomia, and reduce the risk of uterine rupture.

In another pregnancy, various complications of another child may occur during pregnancy, and may also be more serious. A reasonable diet and weight should be monitored from the first trimester of pregnancy, and greater emphasis should be placed on post-pregnancy weight management and screening for gestational diabetes and gestational hypertension. If necessary, early use of drugs to control the disease to reduce the harm to the mother and child.

Finally, we must remind everyone that pre-pregnancy preparation must not be saved! Only in this way can the risk be minimized. I wish everyone a healthy and lively baby like an Olympic champion.
