Aston Martin DBX707: The world's most powerful ultra-luxury SUV

The new Aston Martin DBX707 is destined to be a one-of-a-kind SUV that combines lightning-fast performance, unmatched power, impeccable design and ultimate luxury workmanship, making asparton Martin the leader in high-performance luxury SUVs.

Aston Martin DBX707: The world's most powerful ultra-luxury SUV

For Aston Martin, creating a high-performance luxury SUV that is the fastest, most powerful and most handled is the design goal of the new model in the DBX series, the DBX707. Powered by the world's top power output speed, combined with precise handling, dynamic performance and direct and sincere human-vehicle driving interaction, the DBX707 brings a unique and addictive surprise driving experience.

The ASTON Martin DBX707 has been upgraded to the pure sport gene in the DBX V8's award-winning design, extraordinary power performance and driving friendliness, enabling the new car to enhance its capabilities in all aspects, comprehensively improving the vehicle's performance, driving pleasure and more direct road sense.

Aston Martin's engineering team, led by Ralph Illenberger, head of powertrain engineering, successfully developed ball bearing turbochargers for the powertrain of the Aston Martin DBX707 and completed special engine calibrations that unleashed more power and torque.

As the flagship of the Aston Martin high-performance SUV, the DBX707 also features a new 9-speed automatic transmission with a wet multi-plate clutch. Compared with ordinary torque automatic transmissions, this high-performance sports automatic transmission can carry more torque loads, pushing the output power and torque of the 4.0L V8 engine to a staggering 520kW and 900Nm, which is a full 115kW and 200Nm higher than the DBX V8.

The advantages are: first, the shift speed is much faster than the hydraulic torque transmission; second, the shift experience is more direct, providing the driver with a better sense of control and response, and the handling characteristics are significantly different from the DBX V8; in addition, the acceleration performance of the new car is also improved, and it takes only 3.3s to complete 0-100km/h acceleration.

Performance upgrades to the Aston Martin DBX707 also include the standard carbon-ceramic brake discs (CCB). With 420mm and 390mm diameters and six-piston calipers, the brake system reduces the undersprung weight by 40.5kg. Thanks to the optimisation of the brake hydraulic system and booster pump, the new car improves pedal feel and brake responsiveness, significantly improving operational accuracy and driving experience. The DBX707 uses a dual cooling design of main air inlet and floor intake to optimize the cooling performance of the braking system, so that the high-performance brake pads can have good braking performance over a wider temperature range.

The DBX707 comes standard with 22- and tyres (sport and ribbon-shaped wheels available), as well as optional 23-inch alloy wheels (textured black or satin black/diamond cuts).

The Aston Martin DBX707 is also equipped with a new rear electronic limited slip differential (e-diff). To support torques up to 900 Nm, the new car optimized the final gear ratio to 3.27 (3.07 for dbX V8). This helps improve the DBX707's low-gear acceleration capability, further improving gear change response while retaining the efficiency and ride quality of a 9-speed automatic transmission.

The Aston Martin DBX707 features an automatic torque distribution system for the front and rear that delivers up to 100% of torque to the rear axle when needed. Carefully tuned electronic limited-slip differentials ensure that the DBX707 has the cornering flexibility, sportiness and dynamics of an authentic sports car. The seamless collaboration of the chassis and powertrain enables the ideal handling experience, with new vehicles maintaining the best balance of traction and flexibility wherever they are.

In terms of suspension, the newly designed adjustable damping damping solenoid valve and the more sporty adjustment of the three-chamber air spring stiffness range bring enhanced body attitude control and steering transient response. The electronic power steering system has also been tweaked to give the driver a clearer grasp of changes in cornering loads and real-time grip.

The Aston Martin DBX707 features more precise body dynamics management, allowing the driver to easily maneuver the vehicle with natural pedal control or steering operations in situations such as undulations (vertical movement on bumpy sections, hillsides or when squeezed), pitch (dive when the car is braking or the front of the car rises while accelerating) and roll. The electronic active anti-roll control system (eARC) has also been further tuned, and the dynamic flexibility and posture balance of the body have been improved.

To further highlight the driver-centric nature of the DBX707, the R&D team also upgraded the dynamic driving mode. In the sport and motion + mode, the "ejection start" function can be used to maximize the linear acceleration ability, visually display the powerful performance, the active control logic in the full drive system transfer case has been optimized, and the harmonious and precise control of the transmission system and esp system is realized, so that the driver can enjoy a smoother and more natural driving experience closer to the sports car.

With a driver-centric design philosophy, the Aston Martin DBX707 optimises the centre console layout with a new driving mode selector switch. Drivers don't have to be cumbersome to control critical dynamic modes and settings, including suspension mode, ESP, manual shift (with gear hold) and exhaust valve switches, opening valves for the new bilateral four-out motion exhaust system without switching to sporty driving mode.

The front styling is complemented by a larger metal grille and newly designed daytime running lights, with new ventilation and air intakes and a front spoiler. This larger satin chrome-plated metal grille with two-blade design provides more cooling airflow to the ultra-high-performance V8 engine and the new 9-speed automatic transmission, which is split by six horizontal bars for a more eye-catching shape that makes it the flagship model of the DBX family at a glance.

Dark satin chrome window wrap, new metal trim from the hood heat sink, larger front metal grille and glossy black spoiler complement the bright black fenders along the wings, complemented by a straighter, more powerful sculpted shape that creates a thunderous momentum. At the same time, the DBX707 is also equipped with an electric suction door to further enhance the attributes of the ultra-luxury SUV.

The rear design is equally striking. The roof spoilers are designed to extend to reduce lift and improve high-speed stability, and the noticeably expanded dual rear diffusers highlight the new large-diameter bilateral four-outlet exhaust system. The new exhaust system is decorated with black satin chrome, complementing the diffuser's glossy black livery, combined with a carefully tuned exhaust sound for a new sensory experience of excitement. The new rear bumper and integrated diffuser further accentuate the DBX707's powerful styling.
