Jimu news reporter Zhang Qi
On February 2, the second day of the Chinese New Year, Mr. Zhang went fishing by a local reservoir after walking with relatives in Chongqing, and encountered a boy who fell into the water and called for help. Mr. Zhang, who is not good at swimming, does not care about the danger of falling into the reservoir, and rescues the boy who fell into the water with the help of his family. On February 4, Mr. Zhang told Jimu News that he was actually a little afraid after saving people, and now he has recognized the rescued children as dry sons.

Mr. Zhang, a 36-year-old from Nanyang, Henan Province, works in Chengdu, Sichuan Province. At about 2 p.m. on February 2, after visiting relatives in Chongqing's Changshou District, he went fishing with his family to the reservoir. Initially he saw three children playing nearby, but soon after, he heard one of them calling for help, and it turned out that a boy had fallen into the water. Mr. Zhang quickly ran forward to prepare for rescue, and his wife followed him with the child in her arms, while also taking a video.
According to Mr. Zhang, when he was fishing, he found that the water in the reservoir was very deep, and the slope next to the reservoir was relatively steep. He brought a fishing rod, clutching the edge of the slope with one hand, and the other holding the rod for the boy who fell into the water to catch it, and his family also assisted. Eventually, the boy who fell into the water grabbed a bamboo pole and approached the shore, and when he could stand, Mr. Zhang and his family pulled him ashore.
"Actually, I'm still quite scared." Mr. Zhang told Jimu News that he was not very good at swimming, but fortunately his family had been by his side to help him.
Mr. Zhang's wife told reporters that she was also worried when her husband saved people. After the boy was rescued and sent home, at the suggestion of the child's parents, Mr. Zhang recognized the boy as a dry son, and the two sides agreed to communicate with each other in the future.
