Winkelmann also said the company has a perfect start to 2022. He was referring to Lamborghini's historical sales record, with 8,405 cars delivered in 2021. Nearly 60 percent of that goes to Urus SUVs, with 5,021 units sold worldwide.

It is reported that the Italian brand will launch four new models this year to prepare for the electrification of its lineup. Although the specific model has not yet been officially announced, it is understood that an alternative to the Aventador may be one of them, as Aventador Ultimae will offer Lamborghini the last pure V12 model.

In terms of electrification, Lamborghini has invested heavily in this transition. The company is said to have allocated 1.5 billion euros ($1.7 billion) for the transition to plug-in hybrids. The first Lamborghini plug-in hybrid models will be available as early as 2023, while the pure electric Lamborghini will see the dawn in 2025.

For the Italian automaker, the future is certainly electric and has already received strong support from the Volkswagen Group. Winkelmann said they are still working on the final design of Lamborghini's electric vehicles, and a four-door model "suitable for everyday use" is also under consideration.
