There were 7 new locally confirmed cases in Beijing, in Haidian and Fengtai

On January 21, at the 271st press conference on the prevention and control of the new coronavirus pneumonia epidemic in Beijing, Pang Xinghuo, deputy director of the Municipal Center for Disease Control and Prevention and a member of the national new coronavirus pneumonia expert group, introduced that from 0:00 to 16:00 on January 21, there were 7 new confirmed cases of local new crown pneumonia in the city, including 4 cases of mild and 3 cases of ordinary type; and 5 new cases of asymptomatic local new crown pneumonia infection.

Confirmed case 1: Currently residing in Baiwang Jasmine Garden Phase I, Yongfeng Road, Malianwa Street, Haidian District, and is a close contact of confirmed case 2 notified on 18 January. On January 17, as a close contact, he was transferred to a centralized isolation point, during which the nucleic acid test results were negative twice, and on January 21, the nucleic acid test result was positive, and he was transferred to a designated hospital, and the results of the comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical manifestations, laboratory tests and imaging tests were diagnosed as confirmed cases on the same day, and the clinical classification was mild.

Confirmed case 2: Currently residing in Phase I of Baiwang Jasmine Garden, Yongfeng Road, Malianwa Street, Haidian District, and is a close contact of confirmed case 2 notified on 18 January. On January 17, as a close contact, he was transferred to a centralized isolation point, during which the nucleic acid test results were negative twice, and on January 21, the nucleic acid test result was positive, and he was transferred to a designated hospital, and the results of the comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical manifestations, laboratory tests and imaging tests were diagnosed as confirmed cases on the same day, and the clinical classification was mild.

Confirmed case 3: Currently residing in Yipengyuan Community, Yuquanying Street, Fengtai District, cold chain operator. He reported symptoms of fatigue on 17 January and improved on 18 January. Nucleic acid testing was carried out as a risk management group, and the result was positive on January 20, and he was transferred to a designated hospital, and based on the results of epidemiological history, clinical manifestations, laboratory tests and imaging tests, he was diagnosed as a confirmed case on January 21, and the clinical classification was ordinary type.

Confirmed case 4: Currently residing in Wanliuyuan Community, Yuquanying Street, Fengtai District, working in cold storage in the southwest suburbs. He said that he had visited the Yuquanying Fruit Cold Storage in Fengtai District on January 13. Around January 16, he developed runny nose symptoms, took banlan root and cold punch, and did not seek medical attention. Nucleic acid testing was carried out as a risk management group, and the result was positive on January 20, and he was transferred to a designated hospital, and based on the results of epidemiological history, clinical manifestations, laboratory tests and imaging tests, he was diagnosed as a confirmed case on January 21, and the clinical classification was ordinary type.

Confirmed case 5: Currently residing in No. 212 Courtyard of Yuquanying, Yuquanying Street, Fengtai District, working in a cold storage in the southwest suburbs. He has eaten at Huaxing Restaurant many times. He reported that he had developed cold symptoms and took his own medication. Nucleic acid testing was carried out as a close contact of the confirmed case, reported positive on January 20, has been transferred to a designated hospital, combined with the results of epidemiological history, clinical manifestations, laboratory tests and imaging tests, and was diagnosed as a confirmed case on January 21, with a clinical classification of mild.

Confirmed case 6: Currently living in No. 212 Courtyard of Yuquanying, Yuquanying Street, Fengtai District, working in a cold storage in the southwest suburbs. He has eaten at Huaxing Restaurant many times. He reported coughing around 15 January and did not seek medical attention. Nucleic acid testing was carried out as a close contact of the confirmed case, reported positive on January 20, has been transferred to a designated hospital, combined with the results of epidemiological history, clinical manifestations, laboratory tests and imaging tests, and was diagnosed as a confirmed case on January 21, with a clinical classification of mild.

Confirmed case 7: Currently residing in No. 212 Courtyard of Yuquanying, Yuquanying Street, Fengtai District, working in a cold storage in the southwest suburbs. He has eaten at Huaxing Restaurant many times. He reported developing fever and cough on 18 January and did not seek medical attention. Nucleic acid testing was carried out as a close contact of the confirmed case, and the result was reported positive on January 20, and he was transferred to a designated hospital, and based on the results of epidemiological history, clinical manifestations, laboratory tests and imaging tests, he was diagnosed as a confirmed case on January 21, and the clinical classification was ordinary type.

The current round of outbreaks in Beijing has been preliminarily judged to be a cluster of two different sources of infection

Pang Xinghuo introduced that since January 15, the city has reported a total of 23 local cases, including 18 confirmed cases and 5 asymptomatic infected people, involving four districts of Haidian, Chaoyang, Fengtai and Fangshan.

Combined with the results of epidemiological investigation and whole gene sequencing of the virus, the preliminary judgment is that there are two clusters of different sources of infection:

First, the cluster of epidemics caused by international mail belongs to the Aomi Kerong variant, with a total of 5 locally confirmed cases reported, all in Haidian District;

The second is the cluster of epidemics caused by imported cold chain items, which belongs to the Delta variant, with a cumulative report of 13 locally confirmed cases and 5 asymptomatic infected people, involving Chaoyang District, Fengtai District and Fangshan District.

Beijing requires these populations to report voluntarily

Pang Xinghuo suggested that from January 1 to January 20, 8 o'clock to visit the Fengtai District Yuquanying Fruit Cold Storage, Wanliuyuan Community, Southwest Suburb Cold Storage, Huaxing Restaurant (Beijing Yuquan Yingqiao West Branch), or those who received the health treasure pop-up window prompt, immediately took the initiative to report to the community, and cooperated with the implementation of home isolation, health monitoring, nucleic acid testing and other prevention and control measures.

Beijing Fengtai District comprehensively carried out risk investigation

Bo Lan, deputy mayor of Fengtai District of Beijing, introduced that Fengtai District has comprehensively carried out risk investigation, covering 10 major cold storage and 5 major agricultural and sideline products wholesale markets in the region.
