"Changping little friends" in the epidemic: Bao Dad and Bao Mom volunteered for nearly 3,000 hours for more than 10 days

About 400 people participated, and the service time was nearly 3,000 hours. This is the "achievement" contributed by the volunteer team responsible for the Management Duan Duan of Changping Baoma in the past ten days. In this round of the epidemic, they are the main force in some communities and streets in Changping to assist in nucleic acid testing and answer resident hotlines. Guan Duanduan said that in fact, since the emergence of the epidemic in 2020, the team has participated in many community anti-epidemic work, and more and more volunteers have joined in. The job is completely voluntary and unpaid, and those who can participate seem to have endless enthusiasm and endless strength, "especially in the face of the epidemic, seeing everyone working hard for the same thing, the heart will burst out more power." ”

Volunteer teams were originally gathered for children

Last weekend, large-scale nucleic acid testing in Changping City came to an end, and the head of the "Changping Little Partner" volunteer team, Guan Duanduan, was called by the team partner to other communities 30 kilometers away from home to support the nucleic acid testing service. After working for ten days in a row, my daughter asked her, "Mom, I think you are tired enough, why are you still so energetic?" Guan Duanduan only felt that this was something he liked to do," I found my own sense of existence and value. ”

After entering the current round of the epidemic, as of this week, the volunteer team responsible for the pipe section has dispatched nearly 400 volunteers to help the epidemic prevention and control work, with a cumulative volunteer service time of about 3,000 hours. Usually, volunteers will appear next to the telephone of the citizen service hotline in the street where the sealed control community is located to record and solve various problems for residents; they also appear at the nucleic acid testing site of large and small communities to scan the code and register and seal for the residents.

"In fact, our team was originally registered for the kids." Guan Duanduan told reporters that in 2016, she set up a registered volunteer team with several bao parents, the original intention was to provide children with more practical opportunities and social space through social volunteer activities, "In addition to interest classes, I also want them to do something meaningful in their free time." ”

The first time for the epidemic was during the Spring Festival in 2020. The community where Guan Duan duan lived lacked relatively young community workers, and Guan Duan Duan stepped forward with several bao parents. "At that time, almost everyone lived on the north side of the street, and before many activities, we would ask a parent to take care of the children at home, and then the adults would go to the street as volunteers."

Although children cannot participate in anti-epidemic volunteer services, they are always driven by the work of their parents. Guan Duanduan recalled that the children had said, "They will say that they also want to be 'big white' and that they also want to protect everyone." "A volunteer service organization that gets together because of children, even if some activities can't involve children, Guan Duanduan feels that the behavior of adults will also set an example for children."

Three hours early is only for rotational services nucleic acid testing

Participating in epidemic prevention and control is all voluntary, and "becoming a role model for children" will not be the reason for The Management Section to call on everyone to participate in epidemic prevention volunteer activities.

She told reporters that the volunteer services organized by the team are mainly notified through WeChat groups. Usually, she sends messages to the group, and the event is voluntarily participated. "We rarely ask people to do something, because there are bound to be partners who are worried about the potential risks, which is understandable." 100% public welfare, 100% voluntary, 100% free, Guan Duanduan believes that reaching agreement in these three aspects is a very important prerequisite for volunteers to participate in activities.

Guan Duan duan is a full-time mother, and in recent years, whether it is accompanying children or participating in volunteer service, there is almost no difference between working days and rest days. She also respects the partners in the team who have to go to work normally and take care of volunteer activities, "Many of our members who are engaged in community anti-epidemic services are like this, and they are also doing volunteer services uninterruptedly while ensuring their daily work." ”

The pipe paragraph mentioned that the current time for nucleic acid testing in the community starts at 6 a.m., and volunteers usually arrive at 5:30 a.m. Many of them still have their own jobs during the day, but in order to support a force, the team members will take the initiative to get up three or four hours early, go to the community to finish a period of service, and then run to work. "After work in the afternoon, many people will go straight back to the community and then serve the residents."

Irrelevant Interests Team atmosphere unites people.com

Volunteering has nothing to do with interests. Many people have asked Guan Duanduan what kind of subsidies and honors have been received as a volunteer? In fact, the team has been established for six years and has not yet gained any material wealth. Even many times, this is an activity that needs to be paid for, and the fare and funds are also raised by the members themselves.

Not only that, Guan Duanduan said that most of the time, she went to count everyone's work unit and individual information, and the volunteers were reluctant to tell them in detail.

Unprofitable, no one knows, why do so many people still do volunteer work? Previously, many volunteers interviewed by the Beijing News reporter said that because they can meet many like-minded people here, they can contact the new environment.

Pipe segments also feel the same way. "On the one hand, I feel that I am young, many of our mothers are also in good years, and volunteering allows us to see our own value." On the other hand, because this matter has nothing to do with any interest, when everyone is together, the atmosphere is very relaxed, and it is very fulfilling and powerful. This sense of strength, she says, can be felt no matter how physically tired you are.

Especially in the face of the epidemic, in the anti-epidemic environment that everyone is facing, Guan Duanduan feels that he can feel the strength of the team more at this moment, and the strength from ordinary people seems to really twist into a rope, "just to fight the epidemic and protect our homeland." ”
