The squad of the 35th Army was built by Fu Zuoyi when he was in the Jin Army, and it was the capital of his starting, this unit followed him for more than ten years, and every victory he won the 35th Army was an important factor.
His annihilation was fatal to Fu Zuoyi, who basically could not command the other subordinates at that time, because the other three corps were all central troops, and these three corps were nominally under Fu's command, but in fact they did not listen to the dispatch at all;

After analysis, Fu Zuoyi believed that the Northeast Field Army would have to rest for at least a few months after the Liaoshen Campaign, so it only regarded Zhangjiakou as a local attack of the North China Military Region.
After drawing this conclusion, Fu Zuoyi decided to concentrate the main force to first relieve the siege of Zhangjiakou and attack the North China troops of the People's Liberation Army, and then to meet our Northeast Field Army with idle waiting. Therefore, Fu's 35th Army and the 258th Division of the 104th Army set out from Fengtai and Huailai and rushed to Zhangjiakou.
After learning of Fu Bu's movements, the 2nd Corps of North China, which had long been prepared, rushed from Yi County and Bauhinia Pass to Zhuolu and Xiahuayuan; the 2nd Corps of Dongye, which had secretly entered the pass, rushed from Jixian to Huailai and Nankou. These two corps formed a large net with the 3rd Corps of the North China Military Region, which was bound to annihilate fu reinforcements and the Zhangjiakou defenders.
However, the 2nd Army of Higashino drew a snake on the way- by the way, it hit the dense cloud and annihilated a division of the defenders. Annihilating the enemy would have been a good thing, but the problem was that Higashino had entered the customs secretly, and Fu Bu did not know it. Now that miyun was suddenly captured, Fu Zuoyi naturally sensed it, so he urgently ordered the 35th Army to return to Beiping and ordered the 104th Army to go to meet it.
At this time, the blame will not help, and the only way to prevent the enemy army from meeting can only be prevented.
On December 4, Fu's 35th Army began to retreat from Zhangjiakou because it had automobile transportation and was highly mobile. The 2nd Corps of North China, which was closest to the enemy, had just left Yi County, and there were still about two hundred kilometers away, and under the repeated urging of the Central Military Commission, Yang Dezhi of the 2nd Corps of North China could only order the troops to travel lightly.
Tens of thousands of people trekked through the mountains until the new security guards blocked Fu Bu. At this time, the central authorities issued a strict order, which meant that the 35th Army must be wiped out in the new security and the enemy could not be allowed to escape.
After Receiving the telegram, Yang Dezhi summoned officers at all levels in a very stern tone: Because of our "late arrival," the enemy's 35th Army broke through to the east, affecting the entire battle plan. Now the corps has been severely criticized by the Central Military Commission, and if the enemy escapes from here again, our second corps must be responsible. Here I also tell you one thing: Whoever lets the enemy go because of dereliction of duty or failure to carry out orders will be held accountable.
Everyone heard the rare tone of the corps commander, and there was also a bit of solemnity in their hearts, and they immediately went back to carry out the execution. However, it was not long before Yang Dezhi received a report from the messengers that Zheng Weishan, the commander of the Third Column, had pulled two regiments from the new security peripheral position to Shacheng and Alkali Beach in the southeast of the city.
This made Yang Dezhi angry, originally there was a shortage of people in the defensive circle, this Zheng Weishan also pulled the soldiers away, if he ran the 35th Army, who can bear this responsibility?
Geng Biao, chief of staff of the corps, asked the messengers to quickly find out what Zheng Weishan's movements were, and soon found out that Zheng Weishan had led the troops to fight the enemy to help the 104th Army.

Otherwise, when the 35th Army returned to Beiping, it is difficult to say whether Fu Zuoyi would revolt afterwards.
Afterwards, Yang Dezhi recalled: After receiving the news of the repulsion of the 205th Division, we were greatly relieved. It was Comrade Zheng Weishan's "unauthorized" action that dashed the hope of the new security enemy to break through, and he could only be trapped in the city!
It can be said that Zheng Weishan's "disobedience" made a great contribution to the later Peiping Peaceful Uprising!
