Speaking of the heroes of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, we must mention the founding generals of our new China, whose contribution to the war can be said to be enormous. Among the many founding generals, "Sanyang" can be said to be prestigious.
The famous "Three Yangs"
"Three Yangs" refers to Yang Chengwu and Yang Dezhi among the founding generals, and Yang Yong, the protagonist of today's story.
During the War of Resistance Against Japan, General Yang Chengwu was the commander of the Independent Regiment of the 115th Division of the Eighth Route Army, and in the Battle of Pingxingguan, General Yang Chengwu led the soldiers of the Independent Regiment to cut off the transportation line of the Japanese army, blocked the Japanese troops who came to support, and bought a lot of time for the brother troops to annihilate the Japanese troops in Pingxingguan. Later, he also participated in battles such as the Battle of the Hundred Regiments, and in 1955, he was awarded the title of founding general.
General Yang Dezhi, after the outbreak of the War of Resistance Against Japan, served as the regimental commander of the 685th Regiment of the 343rd Brigade of the 115th Division of the Eighth Route Army, and in 1938, General Yang Dezhi served as the deputy brigade commander of the 344th Brigade of the Eighth Route Army. In 1939, Yang Dezhi launched guerrilla warfare in the Hebei-Luyu area, actively mobilizing the strength of the masses and installing anti-Japanese armed forces.
Then there is Yang Yong, who was the commander of the 686th Regiment of the 343rd Brigade of the 115th Division of the Eighth Route Army during the War of Resistance Against Japan, participated in the Battle of Pingxingguan, and made great contributions in the battle of the Fenli Highway Ambush.
Five scars on his body
War is inevitable to be injured, sometimes life-threatening. After the founding of New China, many generals still had shrapnel from the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression in their bodies, which were not discovered until their deaths. General Yang Yong had five wounds on his body.
The first time was above his head, it was during a battle in the Central Soviet District, when an enemy bullet flew over his head, and the blood flowed. After that, the place where the bullet flew over his head never grew any longer.
The second was on his right leg, which was during the Long March, when General Yang Yong was hit in the right leg in the face of the Nationalist pursuit of the name of the soldier. The third was on his right cheek, where the bullet entered his right cheek and knocked out 6 teeth. The fourth was on his left shoulder, this time not a bullet wound, but a knife wound. That is, during the Battle of Pingxingguan, Yang Yong fought a white-knife battle with the Japanese army and was slashed by the enemy army. The last wound was a minor wound, which was inflicted by an enemy bayonet during the Xigongling ambush.
Went to Shenyang to take up a post
In 1972, General Yang Yong was appointed to serve in Shenyang as deputy commander of the Shenyang Military Region, which was then commanded by Chen Xilian. In the past, on the battlefield, they were comrades-in-arms who fought side by side, and now they are working together to contribute to the construction of the motherland.
General Yang Yong's military ability, General Chen Xilian, was well known; when General Yang Yong came to the Shenyang Military Region, Chen Xilian personally brought his comrades to greet him, and he also gave a special account to the comrades of the Military Region, saying: "General Yang Yong's work ability is very strong, do not just regard him as a deputy commander, if you want to do military work in the future, you must ask him for instructions." ”
In his work, Chen Xilian never regarded Yang Yong as a deputy, and he would consult with Yang Yong when things happened. General Yang Yong also did his best in his work and bowed to the cause of building a new China.
