The eldest son, Chen Zaiqiang, was born after the founding of the People's Republic of China, after being sent to the army by his father at the age of 17, he studied at the Kazakh Military Industry University of General Chen Geng, and after graduation, he became the logistics director of the Northeast Military Region, and was later awarded the rank of great general by the state for his merits, and has now retired from his post honorably and enjoyed life.
The second son, Chen Zaiwen, who was one year younger than his brother, also joined the army at the age of 17, but he had a good physical fitness and strong military theory since childhood, and later became a pilot through strict screening, but unfortunately, in 1982, he unfortunately died on a mission trip and died heroically, at the age of 32.
The third son, Chen Zaifang, born in 1952, joined the army at the age of 16, graduated from the Chinese Department of Peking University with excellent results in his early years, and was later transferred to the Equipment Department of our army as the director of the bureau, which is the most similar to Chen Xilian among his children, and later was awarded the rank of major general by the state in 2004, and then promoted to the rank of lieutenant general in 2011, perfectly inheriting his father's mantle.
The youngest daughter, Chen Zaihong, is the youngest child of General Chen Xilian, and when she grew up, she did not follow her father's wishes to join the army, but became an excellent people's teacher, selflessly dedicated in ordinary posts, and paid silently, but unfortunately, she died of illness at the age of 55.
Although the general's sons and daughters did not make the same meritorious achievements as their fathers, they never smeared the general's face in his life, fulfilled his duties, and silently dedicated his strength to the prosperity and strength of the country.
