Xing Renfu: Brigade commander of the Eighth Route Army, general with seniority but a corrupt life and defection to the enemy, what is the outcome after that?

In the history of New China, there were many generals with outstanding merits and profound qualifications, and in the work of conferring titles in 1955, many generals who looked more mediocre were also awarded the rank of lieutenant general, which was really because seniority was too important.

For example, in the War of Resistance Against Japan, Xing Renfu, who defected to the enemy, served as the brigade commander of the Eighth Route Army, but his life was corrupt and he eventually became a traitor.

In the 1940s, the anti-Japanese enemy rear base areas entered a stage of stable development, and in the process, it became more urgent to strengthen the principle of the party leading the army and enhance the purity and combat effectiveness of the revolutionary contingent through the rectification movement.

Xing Renfu: Brigade commander of the Eighth Route Army, general with seniority but a corrupt life and defection to the enemy, what is the outcome after that?

Xing Renfu is such a person.

Xing Renfu was born in 1910 to a poor peasant family in Yanshan County, Cangzhou, Hebei Province. Xing Renfu's father was once a member of the Qinghong Gang's underworld, and Xing Renfu was determined to take a different path from his father. After xing renfu graduated from the higher primary school at the age of 16, he successively became a teacher and a railway policeman, and he can also be regarded as a small intellectual. At the age of 18, Xing Renfu joined the Ma Hongkui Department of the National Revolutionary Army and became a communications platoon commander of the Ma Family Army.

In Ma Jiajun, Xing Renfu was dissatisfied with the corruption of the Nationalist army, his thinking was relatively progressive, and he gradually joined the Communist Party of China through the introduction of Li Yunzhong and Zhang Yashao and gradually became an underground military movement worker of Ma Jiajun. After the September 18 Incident, Xing Renfu was sent back to North China by the party organization to do party affairs work. In 1937, Xing Renfu was elected by the Jinnan Working Committee of the Communist Party of China as chairman of the North China People's Anti-Japanese National Salvation Military Committee and head of the Special Agent Regiment of the Anti-Japanese National Salvation Army.

As the head of the regiment in 1937, Xing Renfu's revolutionary credentials were indeed not shallow. Later, the revolutionary contingent was reorganized, and Xing Renfu was changed to the captain of the 31 detachment, in fact, he was still a regimental cadre. In the War of Resistance Against Japan, there was basically such a correspondence, with columns equivalent to divisions or brigades, detachments equivalent to brigades or regiments, brigades equivalent to battalions, squadrons equivalent to companies, squads equivalent to platoons, and detachments equivalent to squads.

The 31st Detachment of the National Salvation Army led by Xing Renfu was a very important anti-Japanese force in the Southern Jinnan area of Cangzhou. Under his leadership, 31 detachments conquered the counties of Xiayanshan, Wudi, Qingyun, and Leling, and the strength of the troops increased to more than 3,000 people, and the weapons and equipment were also greatly improved. In 1938, Xiao Hua led the 115th Division of the Eighth Route Army into Jilubian, and the Shandong War of Resistance gradually got the leadership of the old Eighth Road and embarked on the right track.

Xing Renfu: Brigade commander of the Eighth Route Army, general with seniority but a corrupt life and defection to the enemy, what is the outcome after that?

Xing Renfu's new position was commander of the Pingjin Detachment of the Guerrilla Detachment of the Eighth Route Army's Jilu Border Region, which was later reorganized into the Sixth Detachment of the Eighth Route Army's Eastward Advance Column, which was directly under Xiao Hua's leadership. With the development of the Shandong War of Resistance, Xing Renfu's six detachments were upgraded to the 6th Brigade of the 115th Division, and at the same time the Jilubian Military Region, while Xing Renfu was also the commander of the 6th Brigade and the commander of the Military Region.

Xing Renfu became the brigade commander of the Eighth Route Army and the commander of the second-level military region in 1941, and if this position persisted until 1955, he would be at least a lieutenant general, and the best one might be a general. At that time, the second-level military regions under the Shandong Military Region also included:

Wang Jian'an, commander of the Luzhong Military Region, and Luo Shunchu, political commissar, have jurisdiction over 5 military sub-districts and 3 regiments directly under their command;

Zhang Guangzhong, commander of the Lunan Military Region, and Wang Lushui and Fu Qiutao, political commissars, have jurisdiction over 3 military sub-districts;

Chen Shiyu, commander of the Coastal Military Region, and Fu Zhuting and Tang Liang, political commissars, successively had jurisdiction over 3 military sub-districts, 1 detachment and 6 regiments;

Xu Shiyou, commander of jiaodong military region, and Lin Hao, political commissar, successively had jurisdiction over 5 military sub-districts, 1 naval detachment and 6 regiments;

Yang Guofu, commander of the Qinghe Military Region, and Jing Xiaocun, political commissar, have jurisdiction over 4 military sub-districts and 1 regiment directly under their jurisdiction.

Among the commanders of these military regions, Wang Jian'an was a general, Chen Shiyu was also a general, Xu Shiyou was also a general, Fu Qiutao was also a general, only Yang Guofu was a lieutenant general, and Zhang Guangzhong served as the chief procurator of the Jiangsu Procuratorate after the founding of the People's Republic of China. If Xing Renfu persists in the struggle, he will most likely be a general in the future.

However, in his long-term revolutionary work, Xing Renfu not only did not continue to maintain the work style of guarding against arrogance and impetuosity, but instead forgot his original intention of saving the country and the people, and began to become corrupt and degenerate in his life, becoming the emperor of the Jilu Border Military Region.

Xing Renfu was no longer willing to live a hard life, and was unwilling to personally command the front line every time he fought. What is even more excessive is that Xing Renfu took a fancy to Song Kuiling, a beautiful female member of the propaganda team, and had an improper relationship with him, and had the courage to live directly and publicly, which was equivalent to making Song Kuiling his own concubine. Later, when the Jilu Border Military Region built a rear base on Wangzi Island, Xing Renfu took Song Kuiling to Wangzi Island to pursue extravagant pleasures and even sent people to Tianjin to buy luxury goods for him.

In a short period of time, Xing Renfu used his power to embezzle 37,000 yuan of public funds, and has become a scum in the ranks of the Eighth Route Army in Shandong.

Why xing Renfu's rights were restricted, and in order to protect the Jilu Border Military Region, the 115th Division and the Shandong Military Region transferred Huang Hua to serve as the deputy brigade commander of the Sixth Brigade and the deputy commander of the Jilu Border Military Region.

Huang Hua was a newcomer to Yang, Hubei Province, who participated in the Pingjiang Uprising, was Peng Dehuai's beloved general, and was also an excellent general of the Central Red Army. Huang Hua participated in the 25,000-mile Long March, and after the end of the Long March, he served as the political commissar of the Third Regiment of the Instructor, and he was very good at military work and political work.

Compared with Xing Renfu's extravagant life, Huang Hua's life was simply an ascetic. Huang Hua was in an important position and was frail and sickly, and according to the regulations, he could enjoy "health care meals" and "health dishes", but he was more willing to share happiness and hardships with the soldiers. At that time, the daily vegetable money of the Eighth Route Army was very low, less than a dime and a half cents per person per day, in this case, Huang Hua often said to people: "We still have to save a little money and grain to help our compatriots in distress." Huang Hua was also extremely plainly dressed, wearing a green military uniform in the summer and a yellow military uniform in the winter, just like the soldiers. When he married in 1937 (at the age of twenty-six), he did not change a single piece of clothing, and often admonished himself to tell his wife: "Be simple, don't dress better than others, better than studying, better than working." ”

Huang Hua's arrival undoubtedly quickly changed the state of the Jilu Border Military Region. Huang Hua straightened out the ranks and strictly enforced military discipline in Jilubian, and won the unanimous support of party members and cadres and the local masses. However, this was not a good thing for Xing Renfu.

In order to save his "prestige," Xing Renfu often said bad things about Huang Hua among the cadres and soldiers, saying that Huang Hua was a "Southern Barbarian" and slandering "Southern Barbarians squeezing out local cadres in order to grab territory." In this way, Xing Renfu's constant act of pulling together gangs and factions caused great difficulties in the construction of the Jilubian base area.

In February 1943, Zhou Guanwu, deputy political commissar of the 115th Division, received a telegram and went to Lunan to attend the summary meeting of the Shandong branch. Before leaving, Huang Hua said worriedly: "Somehow, I am always worried about our individual comrades~"

No one expected that Xing Renfu would finally try to see the poor dagger and launch a mutiny, causing such a big loss to Jilubian.

In the spring of 1943, the superiors decided that Xing Renfu should study at the Central Party School in Yan'an, and the commander's post was replaced by Huang Hua. Xing Renfu believed that this must be Xing Renfu who was playing a ghost and deliberately taking away his monarchy, so he summoned his cronies to Wangzi Island to hold a secret meeting and planned the assassination and mutiny against Huang Hua and other cadres of the Jilu border military region.

In June 1943, the meeting of the Party Committee of Jilubian was held in Dazhao Village, Xinqing County, presided over by Wang Zhuoru, secretary and political commissar, and xing Renfu, Huang Hua and other party committee members all arrived. Soon after, Wang Zhuoru went to Lunan for a meeting, and the rest continued. On June 30, after a full day of meetings, Huang Hua sent guards to nearby farmers to borrow oil lamps and prepare to continue the meeting. But suddenly there was the sound of quarrels. It turned out that Feng Guankui, the captain of the pistol team of the military region, broke into the conference room, but the sentries did not stop them, and Feng Guankui and others rushed into the conference room and shot at Huang Hua and others, and Huang Hua and other military region cadres fell in a pool of blood.

This mutiny, except for Huang Hua. Lu Chengdao, chief of staff of the Military Region Headquarters, Chen Yunbiao, chief of the Hoeing and Rape Section of the Political Department, Dong Xinggen, operational staff officer of the First Military Sub-district, and Cui Guanghua, deputy chief of the Reconnaissance Unit of the Headquarters, and seven others also died heroically. Ikeda, head of the operations unit of the headquarters of the first sub-district of the Jilubian Military Region, Qi Yaoting, director of the reconnaissance station, Liu Jincai, reconnaissance staff officer of the second sub-district headquarters, and Chi Linzhao, reconnaissance staff officer of the third sub-district headquarters, were seriously injured.

This mutiny took place in the village of Dazhao, so it is known as the Dazhao Village Incident. The Dazhao Village incident soon received great attention from the Shandong Military Region, and Luo Ronghuan, commander and political commissar of the military region, Li Yu, deputy political commissar, and Xiao Hua, director of the Political Department, immediately reported the situation to Chairman Mao and the Central Military Commission and issued the "Order for The Arrest of Bandits and The Assassination of Deputy Commander Huang Hua."

That is to say, the head of the military region initially believed that this was an assassination activity caused by the rebellion of Feng Guankui, the leader of the pistol regiment who was born of banditry. However, Zhou Guanwu told the relevant leaders of the military region at that time that this was probably a well-planned conspiracy and could not be imagined by Feng Guankui. In the end, the Shandong Military Region informed the Jilu Border Region to arrest the murderer as soon as possible and solve the case as soon as possible.

The truth of the matter was soon revealed. Feng Guankui was originally a bandit, and later defected to our army's maritime special service regiment, and many comrades were very suspicious of Feng Guankui's character, but Xing Renfu forced the crowd to absorb Feng Guankui with "no distinction between the anti-war and the order" and made him the captain of the pistol team. Later, Feng Guankui repeatedly violated military discipline and was also shielded by Xing Renfu.

After the situation gradually became clear, Wang Zhuoru, the secretary and political commissar of the Jilu Border Region, secretly deployed to arrest Xing Renfu. However, Xing Renfu thought that the party committee of the Jilu Border Region did not know the truth about his plot to assassinate Huang Hua and others, and actually hoped that the party committee of the border region would go to Wangzi Island for a meeting in an attempt to seize or even kill more leading cadres. Wang Zhuoru decided on the spot that the meeting place must be at the party committee's station. Wang Zhuoru laid down the place where the sky fell, waiting for Xing Renfu to come in.

Unfortunately, when Xing Renfu's guards had just entered the village entrance, they were shot by the commander of the anxious guard company, and Xing Renfu knew that the situation was not good, and directly fled in the chaos.

Trapping is not possible, and Wang Zhuoru can only choose to besiege Wangzi Island.

Xing Renfu took advantage of his work relationship in Jilubian to write letters to many cadres at and above the county and regimental level and distributed leaflets, which in turn slandered Wang Zhuoru as a "trust bandit" and Liu Xianquan for "defecting," slandering and cursing how bad the "southern barbarians" of foreign cadres were, and vainly trying to stir up relations between local cadres and foreign cadres. Among them, Liu Guanying, the county magistrate of Xinhai County, and Lou Jianfeng, the relative deputy political commissar, received a letter from Xing Renfu, asking them to kill Ye Shangzhi, the secretary of the county party committee, and take Ye Shangzhi's first rank to drag the team to the island to join him in the enemy. These letters were handed over to the party organization, exposing Xing Renfu's conspiracy.

There are many similar situations, and the most difficult thing is to win over the revolutionary comrades of Wangzi Island. When Xing Renfu rebelled, the troops stationed on the island had a platoon of the second, third, and fifth companies of the special service regiment, and they instructed the special service brigade of the Sixth Brigade and more than 400 people in total, including the headquarters, the logistics department, the reconnaissance station, the radio station, and the hospital. The leaders of the military region sent Fu Binghan to negotiate with Xing Renfu, and Xing Renfu brazenly tempted the other side to say, "You go to Tianjin with me, I will give you a small building, and find a little wife to be happy!" When he saw that Fu was unmoved, he ordered Fu Binghan to be placed under house arrest. Later, Fu took advantage of Xing Renfu's departure from the island to go to Tianjin and put him under house arrest for a little while, and told Li Xiangxuan, a cultural instructor of the secret service group, about Xing's defection, and told everyone to leave the island quickly. After Li quietly spread the news, many comrades on the island fled back to the military region one after another. After Xing Renfu returned from Tianjin, he captured Li Xiangxuan and tortured him. Li Xiangxuan was unyielding and shouted loudly, "Everyone hurry down to the island and go back to the troops, Xing Renfu rebelled and surrendered to the Japanese Kou in Tianjin." Li Xiangxuan was then brutally killed. Xing also wanted to harm Fu, and Fu took advantage of the low tide of the night sea to wad back to land.

In order to win over the island troops as much as possible, Qi Yaoting, a survivor of the Dazhao Village Massacre, went to the island to expose the truth. When Qi Yaoting gave the warriors their own scars, Feng Guankui could only give an excuse such as "Commander Xing let me do it". In the end, Xing Renfu's cronies feared a greater mutiny and had to return most of the island troops to the military garrison.

Xing Renfu's cronies scattered one after another. Feng Guankui, the captain of the pistol team who remained on Wangzi Island, defected to the puppet army in Yanshan County, but was poisoned. Yang Zhenghou, commander of the Third Military Subdistrict of Jilubian, Chen Erhu, head of the Jilubian Maritime Special Service Regiment, and Xing Zhaoxing, Xing Renfu's secretary, all ran to Wudi County and were killed by the Nationalist army.

Only Xing Renfu ran too fast and too far, and instead of dying, he was promoted to a higher rank and became rich.

Xing Renfu passed through Tianjin, went south to Luoyang, and defected to Jiang Dingwen, commander of the Kuomintang First Theater, and all the situations of the Jilu Border Military Region were secretly written into materials and handed over to the commander of the Nationalist army who was crazy and gambling. Xing Renfu was therefore appointed "Commander of the First Column of the Jicha Theater" and "Commissioner of Rebellion in the Northern Section of Jinpu".

After Xing Renfu defected, he returned to Jilubian on the orders of the Kuomintang Jiang Dingwen to continue his sabotage activities. However, the awareness of military and civilian defense in the base areas has gradually increased, and Xing Renfu's liaison officers have often been hit by blows, and there has been no return.

Finally, in December 1943, Huang Hairong led 6 companies of the military sub-district, together with the Huimin detachment and the county brigade, to launch a surprise attack on the wolf camels and island areas occupied by Xing Renfu's forces. After the battle, Xing Renfu's briefcase was captured. It was found that there was ironclad evidence of Xing's betrayal of the revolution and the betrayal of the nation -- two reports written to Japanese agents, one was a directory of party, government, and army organizations in the border area, and the other was a map of the activities of the party, government, and military organs in the border area. The party committee of the border area immediately reported these materials to the Shandong sub-bureau.

In 1944, Xing Renfu simply surrendered to the Japanese Kou and wrote materials such as "Allegiance to the Emperor" in exchange for the position of commander-in-chief of the "suppression of the communists" in the six counties of Jinnan.

Xing Renfu, who could not see the overall situation clearly, unexpectedly surrendered to the Japanese on the eve of the victory of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, and after the japanese were overthrown, he defected to the Kuomintang and became a colonel commissioner of the Tianjin Station of the Kuomintang military command, and continued to wreak havoc in Northern China.

In January 1949, after the Battle of Tianjin, Xing Renfu, the Kuomintang commissioner and security commander of Huamingluo Town, fled to Beiping, and was informed by our party's underground workers that on January 17, Xing Renfu was captured in The Guan primary school in Hebei. On September 17, 1950, Xing Renfu was escorted to the northeast corner of Yanshan County, Hebei Province, for execution, and the heroic soul of the Martyr HuangHua was finally comforted.

HuangHua today

The Huang Hua martyr, who was killed by Xing Renfu, became a model for the Shandong Eighth Route Army and even the National People's Liberation Army, and was included in the first list of famous anti-Japanese heroes and heroes in 2014.

In 1945, in order to commemorate the martyr Huanghua, the Shandong Branch of the Communist Party of China renamed The New Qing County where Huanghua died as "Huanghua County", which was later expanded into Huanghua City after the reform and opening up, becoming an important sea passage in Hebei Province.
