On June 30, 1943, in response to the new offensive launched by the Japanese army, the 115th Division of the Eighth Route Army instructed the main cadres of the 6th Brigade to hold a military conference in Dazhao Village, Xinqing County. The meeting was presided over by Deputy Brigade Commander Huang Hua. Huang Hua is a native of Yangxin County, Hubei Province, and his parents make a living from farming, and their lives are very difficult. To make matters worse, when he was less than 9 years old, both of his parents died of illness. Orphaned, Huang Hua first herded cattle for the landlord's family, and when he was older, he apprenticed the carpenters and tailors in the town, and tasted the hardships of life.
In May 1930, the Red 5th Army led by Peng Dehuai came to Yangxin County, and they beat up local tycoons to divide the land, and the lives of the poor people were greatly improved. In order to defend the fruits of victory, many young and middle-aged people joined the army, and Huang Hua also joined the Red Army in this year. After that, he followed the troops to participate in the anti-encirclement and suppression operations and the Long March in the Central Soviet Region, and was promoted to the political commissar of the regiment by virtue of his military achievements. After the outbreak of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Huang Hua was sent by his superiors to create an anti-Japanese base area behind enemy lines in southwest Jin, and served as the deputy commander of the 115th Division's Jinxi Independent Detachment.
In February 1941, the 6th Brigade of the 115th Division of the Eighth Route Army was established, with Xing Renfu as the brigade commander. Xing Renfu was a native of Yanshan, Hebei Province, who served in the Kuomintang army in his early years as a brigade staff officer, joined our party in 1929, and engaged in military movement work in the nationalist army. A few years later, due to the exposure of his identity, Xing Renfu went to work in the Pingjin area under the organization's arrangement. After the outbreak of the War of Resistance Against Japan, Xing Renfu, with the support of his superiors, pulled up a detachment called the 31st Guerrilla Detachment of the National Revolutionary Army's Einsatzgruppen Corps.
At this time, Xing Renfu was still a hot-blooded young man, who put all his thoughts on the anti-Japanese resistance, and he was also very good at fighting. In the short period of more than four months from January to May 1938, Xing Renfu led 31 detachments to capture the four counties of Yanshan, Wudi, Qingyun and Leling, killing and wounding thousands of Japanese puppet troops. Due to the excellent results, the reputation of the 31 detachments was greatly enhanced, and the number of people who came to join the army was endless, and the team soon grew to more than 3,000 people. In September 1938, Xiao Hua led the first unit of the 115th Division to Jilubian and reorganized the 31st Detachment into the 6th Detachment of the Eastward Advancing Column of the Eighth Route Army, with Xing Renfu as the detachment leader.
A year later, Xing Renfu led the main force of 6 detachments to the Luxi area to fight and opened up the Luxi Anti-Japanese Guerrilla Zone. In February 1941, the 6 detachments were upgraded to the 6th Brigade of the 115th Division of the Eighth Route Army, with Xing Renfu as the brigade commander. If this continues, Xing Renfu is likely to have been awarded the rank of lieutenant general in 1955. But after Xing Renfu became a brigade commander, he began to be proud and complacent and pursue enjoyment. At that time, he was already married and had children, but Xing Renfu hated that his wife was not good-looking, so he hooked up with a female member of the propaganda team and held a wedding with great fanfare.
Xing Renfu's move had a very bad impact at the time and was severely criticized by his superiors. In order to help Xing Renfu correct his mistakes, his superiors sent Huang Hua, an old Red Army, to teach the 6th Brigade as deputy brigade commander. At that time, due to the continuous attacks of the Japanese puppet army, the Jilu border war of resistance entered the most arduous stage, and each person's daily vegetable money was only one dime and five cents. Huang Hua was not in good health because he had been wounded during the Long March, and according to the regulations at that time, he could eat a small stove. But he insisted on sharing weal and woe with the warriors, and he ate whatever the warriors ate.
At the same time, Huang Hua also took time to rectify the 6th Brigade, and the spirit of the troops was renewed. What was Xing Renfu, as the brigade commander, doing at this time? It turned out that he was taking his little wife on a honeymoon on Wangzi Island in the rear, eating and drinking all day, and disregarding the safety of the soldiers, often letting them buy luxury goods for their own enjoyment in the enemy-occupied areas. In order to maintain this corrupt life, Xing Renfu embezzled more than 37,000 yuan of public funds in just a few months, which was an extremely large number at the time.
The warriors only had a dime and a half of vegetable gold every day, but Xing Renfu wantonly squandered it in the rear and embezzled public funds. Huang Hua was extremely angry about this, and repeatedly criticized Xing Renfu severely, hoping that he would correct his mistakes. But Xing Renfu did not take Huang Hua's words to heart at all, and still went his own way. Because Xing Renfu had a certain military command ability, in order to save him, his superiors decided to transfer him to the Yan'an Party School to study. Xing Renfu lived in the belly of a gentleman with the heart of a villain, believing that this was Huang Hua's ghost behind his back and wanted to seize the opportunity to seize his military power.
Annoyed and angry, Xing Renfu found his cronies, Feng Guankui, the captain of the pistols, and asked him to wait for an opportunity to attack Huang Hua. On June 30, 1943, Feng Guankui took advantage of Huang Hua's meeting in Dazhao Village when he suddenly broke into the venue and committed a crime, and Huang Hua, Lu Chengdao, chief of the General Staff Department, Chen Biao, chief of the Anti-Rape Section of the Political Department, Cui Guanghua, deputy chief of the first section of the headquarters, Chen Zhensheng, a staff officer, and Dong Xinggen, a correspondent, were killed on the spot. Huang Hua was only 32 years old when he died, and in order to commemorate him, his superiors named Xinhai County "Huanghua County", which is today's Huanghua City.
After Xing Renfu sent people to assassinate Huang Hua, he also tried in vain to pull the troops away and surrender to the Japanese Kou as traitors, but none of the soldiers were willing to go with him. In the end, Xing Renfu took only a few of his cronies and ran to Tianjin to surrender to the Japanese and became a shameful traitor. After the victory of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Xing Renfu assumed the pseudonym Luo Zhen and became the head of the first-class lieutenant colonel of the Kuomintang Tianjin Military Command Station, and later promoted to the commissioner of the Third Commissioner's Office of Hebei Province and the commander of security. After the liberation of Tianjin, Xing Renfu was captured and shot after a public trial.
