A pair of scissors cuts out the story of inheritance
The Spring Festival is approaching, walking into Dongchangzhuang Village, Huanghua Town, Huanghua City, there are paper-cutting elements everywhere, making people feel a strong festive atmosphere. Inside the paper-cutting museum, Han Baoju, the inheritor of the provincial intangible cultural heritage and the paper-cutting of the Bohai fishing village, is teaching several peasant women to cut paper: "Sisters, the most difficult place for fish to cut is the eyes, and we must let the eyes have a god." Tell everyone a trick, let the eyes and mouth rush when cutting, so that you can't go wrong. I saw her holding scissors in one hand and red paper in the other, and as the scissors skillfully turned around in her hand, in a few moments, a carp appeared vividly in front of her.
Han Baoju put down the scissors, turned around and walked to the wall of the work display and introduced: "In the past, people put on window flowers every New Year's Festival, and the picture is its beautiful meaning. For example, this fish symbolizes the prosperity of the day; the gourd, taking its harmonic sound 'Fluke', expresses people's expectations for a better life. Paper-cut works are not just window flowers, but an ancient folk art, not only me, everyone has the responsibility to pass it on. Those present nodded uncontrollably.
A piece of red paper shows the folk customs of the countryside
Walking in the paper-cutting museum, the variety of exquisite paper-cut works is overwhelming. "Mandarin Duck Splashing in the Water", "Happy on the Eyebrows", "Flying with Wings"... In 2015, the relevant person in charge of the Huanghua town government found Han Baoju and said that she would build a paper-cutting museum in Dongchangzhuang and create a paper-cutting town, inviting her to teach the villagers to cut paper in the village. At first, Han Baoju had some concerns: "I am a foreigner, and I don't recognize or recognize the people in that village, can I settle down there?" But thinking of inheriting the art of paper-cutting with a new frontier, she did not hesitate to move here from the Nanpai River.
Nowadays, villagers gather at the Paper-cutting Museum when they have time, and while they learn to cut paper, they listen to Han Baoju talk about paper-cutting culture. Everyone often told han Baoju the story of Dongchangzhuang. Han Baoju smiled and said, "A pair of scissors connects me and the villagers of Dongchangzhuang, with the support of so many people, can I cut it without strength?" I am brewing ideas to integrate the history and culture of Dongchangzhuang into the paper-cutting works, and while inheriting the art of paper-cutting, I will tell the historical story of Dongchangzhuang to more people. ”
The village receives 20,000 tourists a year

Walking into the Anti-Japanese War Memorial Hall, old photos silently tell the heroic deeds of Liu Shudong, a patriotic anti-Japanese general: Liu Shudong moved to Dongchangzhuang with his grandfather at an early age, and was later admitted to the Baoding Army Officer School. After graduation, Liu Shudong distributed the 16th Mixed Brigade of the Northwest Army, and married Tong Linge and Zhao Dengyuyi to Jinlan, and the three of them were determined to spend their lives to drive away insults and defend the dignity of the country and the nation. In the spring of 1945, he died of overwork in Hubei Province. In order to commemorate Liu Shudong, Dongchangzhuang carried out a protective restoration of Liu Shudong's former residence and built it into a memorial hall of the Anti-Japanese War. Today, the memorial hall has become a patriotic education base for young people in Huanghua City.
Standing in front of the Anti-Japanese War Memorial Hall, Feng Junhai pointed to a well opposite and said, "That ancient well was built during the Guangxu period and was repaired to become a new scenic spot in the village." All the attractions in the village are created by excavating the history and culture of the village. With the advancement of the construction of beautiful villages, Dongchangzhuang has improved the village environment at the same time, integrated rural culture and historical heritage, and engaged in rural tourism, the village has become more and more beautiful, and Han Xiurong often encounters tourists when he returns to the village. "Outsiders are envious of here, why don't we enjoy it?" Together with her wife, she moved back from Huanghua City.
Nowadays, in front of her house is a small garden, across the road is a paper-cutting museum, a folklore hall and a memorial hall of the War of Resistance, "going out to visit the scenic spots, there is not even a soil pearl on the road, I decided to retire in the village." Han Xiurong smiled and closed his mouth.
What was the village like in the past? Where has changed the most? In order to let tourists more intuitively understand the changes that have taken place in the village in recent years, Dongchangzhuang has specially built a wall next to the village committee.
