1. Elders of the Autumn Harvest Uprising
Zhang Zongxun is a native of Shaanxi and was born in 1908. Although the Red Organization Center arrived in northern Shaanxi after 1935, Zhang Zongxun joined the peripheral organization of the Red Organization before the Northern Expedition and actively participated in the struggle of the Peasant Association. During the Northern Expedition, Zhang Zongxun was already a battalion-level cadre in the Northern ExpeditionAry Army.
After the April 12 Incident, Zhang Zongxun participated in the Autumn Harvest Uprising and served as a company commander of the rebel army. During this period, Zhang Zongxun had a great intersection with the leader, and his talent was also greatly appreciated by the leader.
However, after the Autumn Harvest Uprising, because the strength of our army was relatively thin, after several rounds with the White Army, our army was reduced a lot. So the leader based on realistic considerations, the troops were downsized, and in the process, Zhang Zongxun was demoted from company commander to deputy company commander - but the work was more important. The glory days
After the Jinggangshan Division, the troops of the Nanchang Uprising and the Autumn Harvest Uprising were integrated to form the Red Fourth Army. Zhang Zongxun once again served as a company commander. Later, with the needs of the development of the revolution, the Red Organization decided to go south to Gannan and other places to establish base areas. In the process of this turn of war, Zhang Zongxun once took the lead alone and annihilated many white army forces. And after the establishment of the Chinese Soviet Republic, he was promoted to military commander because of his military merits and other factors. Later, in the Long March, the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the War of Liberation, Zhang Zongxun all played an important role.
Later years
After the founding of new China, Zhang Zongxun was awarded the rank of general and left to return home in the late 1970s. And his two sons also have their own achievements.
His eldest son, Zhang Xinxia, is engaged in the aerospace industry and has dedicated his life in the field of aerospace. He is currently retired. After his retirement, Zhang Xinxia began to engage in historical research, mainly in the field of military history of the Eighth Route Army. It can be said that it continues to exert its residual heat for the country and society.
And the younger son's achievements are even higher. The younger son can be said to have inherited his father's business and joined the People's Liberation Army. And in 1979, he participated in the counterattack against Vietnam. In the struggle, he took the lead as a soldier, made many military achievements, and was promoted to regimental commander by virtue of his military achievements. After that, he was successively promoted to division commander. Of course, every step of this promotion was bought by him in the face of a hail of bullets. In 2011, he was awarded the rank of general and reached the rank of deputy state. At present, none of the marshal's descendants have reached such a level.
