Taking advantage of the fact that the White Army was transferred to Henan to fight, Fang Zhimin took the opportunity to attack Jingdezhen, and Long Zhiguang took the initiative to ask Miao to serve as the commander of the assault brigade.

On July 22, 1930, the Red 10th Army was established, with 3 regiments under its jurisdiction, with commander Zhou Jianping, political commissar Shao Shiping, and Long Zhiguang as the regimental commander. Two months later, the unit was reorganized again, and Long Zhiguang was promoted to brigade commander.
From leading the uprising to the officer to the brigade commander, the time was only 1 year and 3 months.
In November 1930, Long Zhiguang faced the enemy at Caiku, a new camp in Dexing. The enemy was none other than his former superior, Zhou Zhiqun. Knowing that Long Zhiguang is not what he used to be, Zhou Zhiqun tries to co-opt Long Zhiguang.
Long Zhiguang didn't say a word, raised his hand to a shuttle machine gun, and then led the troops to quietly withdraw, leaving Zhou Zhiqun with a firm back.

In July 1931, Lao Jiang organized the third "encirclement and suppression", and Long Zhiguang led an attack on the Xiajialing Fort in Guixi.

At Xiajialing, Long Zhiguang's troops suffered heavy casualties. Seeing that his comrades-in-arms had sacrificed one after another, Long Zhiguang was furious, he snatched the explosive package from the blaster's hand, personally undertook the blasting task, and unfortunately made a heroic sacrifice!
