Ten days to talk about | Shanghai Peking Opera, Maritime Beijing Rhyme

I am pleased with the 10th anniversary of the establishment of Shanghai Xiqu Art Center, and I have a lot of feelings.

As the largest literary and art academy under the jurisdiction of Shanghai Xiqu Art Center, Shanghai Peking Opera House has long received support and concern from all walks of life. The theater has long adhered to the spirit of Zhou Xinfangqi learning, adhered to the overall acting ideology, carried forward the artistic characteristics of "Xinhai School Peking Opera", focused on the creation of newly edited historical dramas, actively explored realistic theme works, and launched a group of industry leaders with both ability and political integrity, both internal and external cultivation, and extensive social influence in the accumulation of repertoire. Last year, the Shanghai Peking Opera House created the "Red Agent", a spy war Peking opera based on the martyrs of the CCP's hidden front, which used a tense plot and a novel style to create the image of underground party members who adhered to their faith and endured humiliation and burdens, attracting a large number of audiences. With the theme of "Reliving the Revolutionary Journey and Revisiting the Red Route", the young lead actor of the drama traveled from the memorial hall of the First Congress of the Communist Party of China to the former site of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, and deeply experienced this vigorous red journey. In the face of various versions of the Communist Manifesto, young actors felt the power of faith; at the former site of the Politburo of the CPC Central Committee, young actors experienced the thrills and hardships of the hidden front, and they melted this feeling into the shaping of characters on the stage.

Shanghai Peking Opera House takes performance as the leader, cultivates talents in a scientific and orderly manner, vigorously promotes the creation of repertoire, and comprehensively establishes the brand image of "Shanghai Peking Opera, Beijing Rhyme on the Sea", and plays a unique artistic role in the pattern of Shanghai Opera Art Center. After the six major opera troupes in Shanghai were unified into the Shanghai Xiqu Art Center, the Xiqu Brothers Troupe twisted into a rope, devoted themselves to the development of the cause, and continued to strive for the common goal.

In recent years, the two performance seasons of "Drama And Concentrate" and "Drama and Endless Fun" planned and held by the center have distinct brand characteristics, and many classic plays and new creations of our hospital have participated in two performance seasons. The center gathers the strength of all parties to actively promote, sets up a platform for the creation of repertoire and talent construction for the theater group, and makes positive contributions to improving the originality of Shanghai opera and expanding the influence of Shanghai opera. The center also organized various theaters and groups to jointly carry out the "deep-rooted" activities, and the artists' footprints visited the Yangtze River Delta and inland areas, fully demonstrating the style of Shanghai opera art and the spirit of Shanghai opera people.

The Chinese Small Theater Opera Exhibition and Performance, planned and sponsored by the Center, has gradually developed and grown from the initial Shanghai Small Theater Opera Festival, and strived to cultivate and build an ecological chain of opera culture with Chinese characteristics, which has stimulated the vitality of young opera artists across the country, so that young opera artists and young audiences can become practitioners and promoters of the development of opera, and have a positive and extensive influence on the whole country.
