The Shanghai Xiqu Art Center was established at the end of 2011, and it has been ten years since the spring and autumn of the past ten years.

Standing at the historical intersection of the "two hundred years" goal, over the past ten years, under the guidance of the Propaganda Department of the Shanghai Municipal CPC Committee, with the support of leading departments at all levels and the care of all sectors of society, the center has worked hard to set sail and bravely stand at the head of the tide, focusing on the mission and task of "raising the banner, gathering people's hearts, cultivating new talents, revitalizing culture, and displaying images", and opening up the road of "creative transformation and innovative development" of China's excellent traditional culture. Under the leadership of the party, we insist on serving the people from the original intention of art, telling Chinese stories well in shouzheng innovation, and carrying forward the spirit of the times, which not only further satisfies the people's diversified pursuit of spiritual and cultural life, promotes the fragrance of the hundred gardens of opera, enhances the level of revitalization protection and inheritance and development of opera as an intangible cultural heritage, and also creates high-quality brand activities based on the city, linked to the Yangtze River Delta, and facing the whole country, promotes the dissemination of opera and film art, and actively explores the integration of culture and tourism. The digital development path strives to open up a new world for the development of the opera industry.

The Xiqu Arts Center is a nascent institution and a young team with an average age of 37. At the same time, the center is also a collective with profound strength, and its subordinate institutes and regiments in Beijing, Kunming, Shanghai, Vietnam, Huaihuai, and Pingtan are at the forefront of the country and maintain a strong momentum of development. We have a total of 55 representative inheritors of national intangible cultural heritage projects, 35 of whom have won the "Plum Blossom Award" of Chinese Drama and the "Peony Award" of Chinese Opera Art 39 times, 40 of whom have won the "Wenhua Award" of the Ministry of Culture 43 times, etc.; the "Five One Project" Award, the "Wenhua Award", the "Top Ten Fine Repertoire" of the National Stage Art Quality Project" of the Central Propaganda Department, the "China Arts Festival Award", the "Chinese Drama Award", the "Excellent Reserved Repertoire Award" of the Ministry of Culture, the "China Opera Society Award" And so on the original repertoire of more than ten. In the past ten years, the center has fully stimulated the vitality of talent innovation and creation, given full play to the role of the "three pillars", drawn nourishment from the red culture, Shanghai culture and Jiangnan culture, carefully cultivated artists with both moral and artistic integrity, and continued to launch excellent works that carry forward the core values of socialism, high artistic standards and good social repercussions.

Over the years, with the aim of "literature and art for the people", the center has focused on creating a unique "Shanghai culture" brand, a national art platform and a world cultural window, such as the establishment of the "Little Theater Opera Festival", which has now been upgraded to "China Small Theater Opera Exhibition", and has received a total of 60 dramas and 327 declared plays from all over the country so far, attracting more young operas and young audiences to become practitioners and promoters of the development of opera; hosting the Yangtze River Delta opera artists" theme practice activities of "going deep into life and taking root in the people". Footprints throughout the country nearly ten provinces, through in-depth reform and opening up and grassroots people's lives, so that artists and workers from all walks of life closer to the heart; the production of 3D Kunqu opera film "Jingyang Bell" and 3D Yue opera film "West Chamber", in the domestic and international film industry to emerge, won special honors, opened up a new dimension of opera appreciation and dissemination.

The avenue is like a stone, and the original heart is like a rock. Ride the wind and waves, and sing and walk.

We are in a promising new era, facing a broad world stage. In the past ten years, the center has followed the requirements of "not only inheriting the classics, but also facing the future, keeping up with the development of the times, grasping the needs of the people, and taking the originality and good works as the unremitting pursuit", adhering to the right path, bravely climbing the peak, becoming an indispensable force in the process of Shanghai's construction of an international cultural metropolis and "Asia's performing arts capital", and playing an active role in promoting the sustainable development of the opera industry and the prosperity of diversified formats. Looking forward to the next decade, we should shoulder the lofty mission of literary and art workers, respond to the call of the times and the expectations of the people with a forward attitude of not waiting for the time, record and display the Zhengda atmosphere of the new era, and make every effort to promote the cause of opera to embark on a new journey and achieve new deeds.
