However, after BYD launched a new Pro model with a starting price of less than 80,000 yuan in the middle of last year, consumers have a better choice.
However, the recent news about the rise in the commercial insurance costs of many pure electric cars has still triggered the concerns of YuanPro owners and intended customers, after all, this is directly related to their future car costs. So the question is, has the cost of the car used by BYD Yuan Pro changed after the premium adjustment? Next, we will conduct a survey of it, mainly in the maintenance costs, insurance costs and electricity costs.
Insurance costs
Previously, we conducted an insurance cost survey on the hot model "2021 401KM Luxury" of BYD Yuan Pro, and after purchasing three major insurance types of 1 million three liabilities, car damage insurance and compulsory traffic insurance, the total premium in the first year was about 5090 yuan. Based on the standard premium of 20% off the second year and 30% off of the third year, the total cost of pro three-year insurance is about 12725 yuan, and the average annual premium is about 4242 yuan.
After the introduction of the new insurance regulations, after our policy price comparison of the recent Yuan Pro and the inquiry of the renewal personnel of the 4S store, we learned that most models of commercial insurance of BYD Yuan Pro have risen to a certain extent, of which the new car has purchased 2 million three major insurance types, car damage insurance, and compulsory traffic insurance, and the first year's premium is about 5400 yuan, an increase of about 6%, almost 310 yuan. Therefore, the "2021 model 401KM luxury" insurance cost is calculated again, the total premium for three years is about 13500 yuan, the average annual premium is about 4500 yuan, and in general, the premium of Yuan Pro has increased by a certain extent, but it has little impact on the use of the car.
Maintenance cost survey
According to our previous maintenance cost survey, BYD Yuan Pro maintenance interval is 12000km or 12 months, and it is necessary to replace the air conditioning filter and check the three electricity aspects, and the inspection cost (200 yuan) + replacement accessories cost a total of 245 yuan. Other parts replacement cycles are: air conditioning filter every 12,000 km to replace; antifreeze every 60,000 km; gear oil every 48,000 km; brake fluid every 48,000 km to replace. In terms of accessories prices, the price of air conditioning filter elements is 45 yuan, antifreeze 369 yuan, brake fluid 90 yuan, gear oil 92 yuan (the above prices do not include man-hours).
We take the general family car three-year driving 60,000km as the car cycle, calculating the total maintenance cost of BYD Yuan Pro for three years, which is about 1921 yuan, an average of about 640 yuan a year. Overall, as a pure electric small SUV of about 100,000 yuan, the maintenance cycle of the YuanPro is long, the price of accessories is cheap, the maintenance cost is normal, and it is at the average level. However, the cost of 200 yuan per inspection is a bit higher than other brands, of course, even so it will not increase too much maintenance costs.
Electricity Bill Survey
According to our previous survey, BYD Yuan Pro "401km Endurance Edition" actual 100 km electricity consumption is about 13.9kWh, based on the current household electricity consumption of about 0.56 yuan / kWh to calculate the yuan Pro electricity bill, the annual driving of 10,000 km of electricity is 780 yuan, three years of driving 60,000km of electricity cost is about 4680 yuan, the average monthly electricity bill is about 130 yuan. Compared with the traditional fuel SUV at the same price, the advantage of the yuan Pro electricity bill is very obvious, even compared with the pure electric SUV, it is more economical. Moreover, even if the owner does not have a household charging pile and needs to go to the public charging pile to charge, the cost of electricity will not increase too much.

We add up the adjusted insurance costs, maintenance costs and electricity costs, and we can calculate that the cost of the CAR used by BYD Yuan Pro for three years to drive 60,000km is about 20,101 yuan, an average of about 6,700 yuan per year, an average of 558 yuan per month, which is not much higher than before. The main reason is that the commercial insurance of YuanPro has only risen by 6%, and the commercial insurance in the first year has been 310 yuan, and after the equal amortization to each month, it has only less than 26 yuan more per month. Therefore, in general, the adjustment of commercial insurance has almost no impact on the cost of the car used by the BYD Yuan Pro, and the owner and the friends who are ready to buy a car do not need to worry.
