On January 12, according to the data released by the National Big Data Alliance for New Energy Vehicles, the cumulative mileage of new energy vehicles in 2021 was 100.939 billion kilometers, with a cumulative increase of 100 billion kilometers, an increase of 57.43% year-on-year. Among them, the mileage of new energy vehicles in December was 10.328 billion kilometers, exceeding 10 billion kilometers for the first time in a single month, an increase of 5.38% month-on-month and 46.10% year-on-year.

From the perspective of application types, in December, the passenger car mileage was 8.028 billion kilometers, accounting for 77.73% of the total mileage; the passenger car mileage was 1.488 billion kilometers, accounting for 14.41%; and the special vehicle mileage was 813 million kilometers, accounting for 7.87% of the total mileage. It can be seen that passenger car mileage dominates.

From the perspective of drive type, pure electric vehicles dominate the driving range. In December, pure electric vehicles traveled 8.885 billion kilometers, accounting for 85.73% of the total mileage; plug-in hybrid vehicles traveled 1.462 billion kilometers, accounting for 14.16% of the total mileage; fuel cell vehicles drove a relatively stable proportion of 0.11%.

From the perspective of enterprises, BYD Automobile Co., Ltd., Shanghai Automotive Group Co., Ltd., and BYD Automobile Industry Co., Ltd. ranked among the top three, accounting for 25.26% of the national vehicle mileage in December, and 25.15% of the national vehicle mileage in 2021.
