Third, in the urban congestion environment, when the battery power is low and the speed is not high, the clutch is separated, and the engine drives the HSG to generate electricity through the drive motor. This method also avoids the situation of high engine load and can further reduce fuel consumption.
Fourth, the vehicle load is larger, for example, when the vehicle climbs a steep slope, the engine and the clutch are in a semi-linkage state, while generating electricity for the HSG motor, while working with the motor tacitly to drive the wheels, ensuring that the torque is sufficient when going uphill.
In fact, from the principle analysis point of view, the fuel saving efficiency of the Tucson L hybrid version model is actually as good as the model equipped with the Honda i-MMD and Toyota THS hybrid system. But at the same time, the modern TMED hybrid system also solves the problem of lack of power, especially high-speed power, and can provide excellent power efficiency in any working condition.

Since the engine, HSG motor, clutch, and gearbox are all located on one axis, the overall weight is lower and the footprint is small.
