Students are always the most passionate and action-oriented. After the end of World War I, the great powers ignored China's sovereignty, the Japanese wanted to grab greater interests, and the Beiyang government was cowardly and incompetent, which led to the great May Fourth Movement. In this movement, the first line is the students.
Similar to that time, during the Southern and Northern Song Dynasties, the Song court and ministers who were worried about internal and external troubles were in charge and fainted and incompetent, which also caused several student movements. One of the students, named Gordon, together with Chen Dong, left a heavy mark in the campaign to eliminate Cai Jing and the other six thieves.
1. Fu Que Bai killed the six thieves
Many years after Gao Deng's death, he finally got Zhaoxue, and The Fujian pacification made Zhao Ruyu approve the construction of the Gaodongxi Ancestral Hall, and Zhu Xi, who was the prefect of Zhangzhou, wrote the "Records of the Ancestral Hall of Mr. Gao Dongxi", which wrote:
Linzhang has Mr. Dongxi Gao Gong, mingdeng, character Yanxian. Jing Kangjian You Taixue, and Chen Gong Shaoyang Fu Que Bai Shu, to curse the six thieves, leave the seed, Li as a request, the use of the people want to soldiers, do not move.
Dongxi is the number of Gordon, a native of Zhangpu County, Zhangzhou City, Fujian Province. Gordon was a tai student during the Jing kang years and became acquainted with the famous student leader Chen Dong (1086-1127). Zhu Xiwen and Gao Deng's chen gong Shaoyang, who was in a state of flux, was Chen Dong.

Gordon, Ziyanxian, Zhangpu people. Less lonely, mechanical, holding on to the Law. Xuanhejian is too student. Jin Ren committed a crime against Jing Shi, Deng and Chen Dong and others wrote to beg to behead the six thieves. The courtiers restored the peace talks, seized the handle of the seed division Dao and Li Gang, and Deng and Dong zai hugged the book, and tens of thousands of soldiers and civilians met unexpectedly. Wang Shiyong's army was desperate to annihilate him, and Deng and ten people stood still.
In December 1125, Emperor Huizong of Song ceded it to his son Emperor Qinzong of Song and changed his name to Yuan Jingkang. A few days after Emperor Qinzong ascended the throne, Chen Dong, Gao Deng, and other tai students jointly wrote a letter asking Cai Jing and other "six thieves" to be killed:
Today's events, Cai Jing is bad in the front, and Liang Shicheng is plotting in the back. Li Yan complained in the northwest, Zhu Xun complained in the southeast, and Wang Yi and Tong Guan resented Liao and Jin, creating a gap. It is advisable to curse the six thieves and pass them on to the four directions to thank the world. (Biography of Song Shi Chen Dong)
This letter caused a shock inside and outside the government and the public, and Song Qinzong was also determined to establish his own authority, and within a year, the "six thieves" would be killed, or given death, or degraded, of which Cai Jing died of fear and illness on the way to belittling. Chen Dong, Gordon and other students went to the book several times before they cleared out the six thieves.
Second, the defense of Tokyo once again held the book
At the insistence of Gordon, Chen Dong and others, when the six thieves were eliminated one after another, Song Qinzong ushered in a greater crisis. In 1126, Jin soldiers marched south to besiege Tokyo. In Li Gang, Seed Master Dao, and others resolutely resisted Jin, the Jin soldiers had no way to do anything.
However, Li Gang and others lost some of their men and horses in a sneak attack, so the capitulationists took the opportunity to petition Li Gang and others to depose them and revoke their military power.
This incident also caused Chen Dong, Gao Deng, and other students to be anxious, so the students "held the book again, and the military and civilians met tens of thousands of people unexpectedly." At that time, King Yin of Kaifeng Province, Shi Yong, wanted to suppress it by force, but Gao Deng and others insisted on not retreating. Song Qinzong was worried that the situation could not be controlled, so he agreed to reinstate Li Gang and the Seed Master Daoguan. After the students and the people saw the seed master road coming by car, they gradually retreated.
After Yan Zongwang saw that Li Gang and Seed Master Dao were reinstated, the morale of the Song army was greatly boosted, so he reached a peace agreement with the Northern Song Dynasty and led the troops to retreat.
After the Jin soldiers retreated, Li Gang suggested actively preparing to prevent the Jin soldiers from going south again, but Song Qinzong did not think so, but was instead seduced by the surrender faction and demoted Li Gang to the south.
Chen Dong took the initiative to resign and go home. However, Because Gordon offended the courtier Wu Min, he was ordered to return to his hometown on the charge of fabricating.
In the autumn of the same year, the Jin soldiers made a comeback, the seed master Dao had died of illness, and Li Gang was still in a distant land of debasement. Li Gang received the holy will to return to Beijing to resist Jin, and by the time he reached the halfway point, Fenjing had already fallen, and The Second Emperor Hui Qin had become a prisoner and was taken to the north.
Chen Dong and Gordon luckily escaped this disaster.
3. The Death of Chen Dong
In 1127, after the change of Jing Kang, King Zhao of Kang took the throne. After he ascended the throne, he appointed Li Gang as prime minister, and soon summoned Chen Dong to the imperial court as an official. However, Emperor Gaozong of Song did not dare to resolutely resist Jin, and had doubts about Li Gang's use, and deposed Li Gang only 77 days after using him.
Therefore, Chen Dong wrote another letter requesting that Li Gang be retained, and deposed Huang Qianshan, Wang Boyan, and others who surrendered. Zhao Zhuo was worried that he would not be able to control the situation, and once again the incident of instigating thousands of people to write a letter to the court occurred, and he actually killed Chen Dong.
At that time, there was no record of Gordon's relevant information, and it is estimated that Gordon should still be in his hometown, otherwise, it is likely that he will write with Chen Dong and may not be affected.
Fourth, Gordon's eunuch career
Fast forward to the second year of Shaoxing (1132), Gao Dengjinshi and Di, summoned by Zhao Zhao, were too blunt in playing political affairs, offending the officials in power, so he was arranged to be the master of Buchuan.
After the expiration of the term, Gordon was recalled to the capital, and he was appreciated by Zhao Zhuo for his attendance at the Book of Ten Thousand Words and the Six Articles of the "Discussion of the Times". However, because he offended Qin Juniper and was not reused, Gordon was awarded the Order of GuXian County in Jingjiang Province.
Gordon later objected to the local officials being framed and imprisoned for Qin Ju in the ancestral hall of GuXian County. After his release from prison, Gordon served as an examiner in Chaozhou, and at that time he also composed a poem "Fisherman Ao Shaoxing Jiazi Chaozhou Examiner's Work":
Vanity Fair hollow disturbance. Ten years north and south east and west roads. Still the edge of the mountain dust flapping hat. Empty chagrin. Envy him Tao Ling returned early.
Autumn is over when you return. Chrysanthemums circle the eastern fence again. There was a wine statue that laughed. Old though. Yushan Yu dissolved the flowers before falling.
However, this time as an examiner, he offended Qin Juniper again. He asked the test questions for the candidates to analyze the causes of the flood, which was considered by Qin Ju to be satirical of political affairs, and was relegated to the distant Rongzhou in Guangxi.
Gordon was demoted to teaching for a living, and among his surviving poems is a poem called "Gaishan Xi", which according to his own account of his illness in Rongzhou:
During the yellow grass season, the sick annoy the southern visitors. Skinny, tried on the waistline, and didn't have a squeeze. The east fence is in, the hand plant chrysanthemum square yellow, picking evening beauty, pan new, who the road is narrow.
A hundred years of service, fun is really rare. There are not many short hairs, let alone labor, frost and wind stained white. Ercao QiJian, Fu □ Yi Weng Wei, Long Shan Hat, Xi Chi Towel, Return Road from the Side of the River.
In 1148, Gordon died of a long illness.
Fifth, Gordon's "Good Things Near" appreciation
Gordon has 12 poems in the Quan Song Ci, one of which is "Rich and Noble Ben Has No Heart" is also considered to be Hu Quan's work. This song "Good Things Near and Goodbye" is a farewell song:
Drinking is just the right time. Frost dry silver hook brocade sentence, look at the three best between the walls.
The west wind specially sounded autumn, and the leaves outside the building touched. The horses flew back and knocked on the moon to the saddle.
The upper parting of this song does not show that there is a send-off factor. The first sentence is written to drink freely during the banquet, and the second sentence is written to splash ink. Three or four sentences to write painting, expression, poetry three absolute. Looking at it together, my friends drank freely, writing, writing, painting, and being at ease.
At the place where the head is changed, write the environment and season: the west wind specially flutters in the autumn, and the leaves outside the building are touched. Outside the building, there is a fluttering autumn wind blowing down yellow leaves. The last two sentences were written as a farewell: the horse flew back and knocked on the moon to the saddle. The moonlight filled the ground, the horseshoe shattered, and the friends flew away. Drinking and writing poetry, the moment has become an old memory.
Conclusion
A few decades after Gao Deng's death, Zhu Xi, the prefect of Zhangzhou, wrote to Emperor Guangzong of Song as Gao Dengzhaoxue, and Song Guangzong wrote in an edict: "Therefore, Gao Deng, the editor of Rong Prefecture, posthumously restored the official, and still gave it to Chengwu Lang. ”
