Shu Han Shaanxi six major Wenwu: four from Xianyang and two from Baoji

Today's Shaanxi Province was divided during the Eastern Han Dynasty by Liangzhou, Sizhou, Yizhou, and Hezhou. This place is one of the birthplaces of Chinese civilization and has a long history and culture. In the chaotic era of the late Han Dynasty, a large number of famous military generals turned out to be born, according to historical records, during the Three Kingdoms period at the end of the Han Dynasty, there were eight Shaanxi Wenwu who served the Shu Han regime, of which six were the most well-known.

First place: Ma Chao. Ma Chao was a famous General of the Shu Han Dynasty during the Three Kingdoms period and one of the Five Tiger Generals. Ma Chaozi Mengqi was a native of Maoling Village, Nanwei Town, Xingping City, Xianyang City, Shaanxi Province. Ma Chao was famous, his distant ancestor was Ma Yuan, the founding general of the Eastern Han Dynasty, and his father was Ma Teng, who was famous in the Guanzhong area. Influenced by his family, Ma Chao learned literature and martial arts since he was a child, and when he was a teenager, he was known for his bravery and good fighting, and Cao Cao had repeatedly recruited but was rejected. When Ma Teng was enthroned as an auxiliary government, Ma Chao took over his father's soldiers and horses and became the overlord of the Guanzhong region.

In the sixteenth year of Jian'an (211 AD), the Battle of Guanzhong broke out. Ma Chao fought fiercely with Cao Cao for several months, and finally won Jia Xu's divisive plan, infighting with other separatist forces, and was defeated by Cao Cao. In the following years, Ma Chao attempted to make a comeback in the Guanzhong region, but was defeated by local forces and forced to leave Guanzhong and lead the remnants to defect to Zhang Lu in Hanzhong. During Ma Chao's time in Hanzhong, not only was he not reused by Zhang Lu, but he was suspected and restrained everywhere. In the nineteenth year of Jian'an (214 AD), Liu Bei besieged Chengdu and sent people to recruit Ma Chao, and the desperate Ma Chao agreed and immediately joined Liu Bei's clique.

At the beginning of Ma Chao's return to Liu Bei, he was deeply respected, and he led his troops to fight in the Battle of Hanzhong, made military achievements, and successively served as a general of Pingxi and a general of the left. However, Ma Chao's fate changed greatly in the middle of the Battle of Hanzhong, and he was gradually jealous of Liu Bei, and has since been alienated by Liu Bei and depressed all the time. Liu Bei was proclaimed empress dowager and promoted Ma Chao to the rank of General of the Hussars. In the second year of Zhang Wu (222 AD), Ma Chao died of illness at the age of forty-seven.

Second place: Fa-rectification. Fa was one of the main strategists of the Shu Han during the Three Kingdoms period. Fa zheng zi xiao zhi, a native of Mei County, Baoji City, Shaanxi Province. Fa Zheng was born into a famous family, and his grandfather Fa Zhen was a famous scholar in the Eastern Han Dynasty, and was called "Mr. Xuande". During the great chaos at the end of the Han Dynasty, Fa Zheng fled to Yizhou to serve under Liu Zhang's account to escape famine. Liu Zhang was cowardly and jealous of his ability, and was full of suspicion and defensiveness toward Fa Zheng and others, so Fa Zheng was not reused during his time in Yizhou, and his career development was extremely unsmooth.

During Liu Zhang's invitation to Liu Bei to enter Shu, Fa Zheng took the opportunity to turn against him and became one of the most powerful strategists under Liu Bei's account. During the Battle of Yizhou and the Battle of Hanzhong, Fa Zheng was deeply valued by Liu Bei, and successively served as the Taishou of Shu County, the general of Yangwu, the general of Shang Shuling, and the general of the protector army. However, Fa Zheng was narrow-minded and had a vendetta to repay, and after seizing power, he retaliated against his former resentful subordinates, which greatly affected his reputation among the shu Han courtiers, and eventually died of illness in office at the age of forty-five.

Third place: Meng Da. Meng Da (孟達), courtesy name Zidu, was a native of Mei County, Baoji City, Shaanxi Province. In his early years, Meng Da and Fa Zheng defected to Liu Zhang, and later to Liu Bei. Meng Da was special among the famous ministers of Shaanxi Origin, and was not reused during his service to Liu Bei. After Guan Yu's defeat in Jingzhou, Meng Da led his troops to defect to Cao Wei, where he successively served as a general of the Scattered Horse, a general of Jianwu, and a Taishou of Xincheng. A few years after Liu Bei's death, Zhuge Liang led the Northern Expedition, and Meng Da wanted to return to Shu Han, but the matter was revealed and sima Yi was beheaded.

Fourth place: Ma Dai. Ma Dai was Ma Chao's cousin, a native of Maoling Village, Nanwei Town, Xingping City, Xianyang City, Shaanxi Province. Ma Dai is more mysterious among the famous courtiers of Shaanxi, and there are only a few records of him in the Romance of the Three Kingdoms. In his early years, Ma Dai followed Ma Chao around in his conquests, and after Ma Teng and his clan were beheaded by Cao Cao, only two brothers remained in the Ma clan. Before Ma Chao died of illness, he went to Liu Bei and hoped that Liu Bei could reuse Ma Dai. After Ma Chao's death, Liu Bei promoted Ma Dai to the rank of general of Pingbei and commanded the army on behalf of his brother.

According to historical records, during Ma Dai's service to the Shu Han Dynasty, the later lords Liu Chan and Zhuge Liang attached great importance to him. Ma Dai followed Zhuge Liang on several occasions on the Northern Expedition. After Zhuge Liang's death, Ma Dai also single-handedly commanded troops to carry out the Northern Expedition against Wei. In the late Shu Han Dynasty, Ma Dai led his troops to suppress Wei Yan and made great contributions, but the subsequent deeds have not been recorded in historical records.

Fifth place: Shoot the strong. Shejian (射健), courtesy name Wengu, was a native of Xingping City, Xianyang City, Shaanxi Province. Shejian was born into a famous family, his ancestors were famous generals in the Eastern Han Dynasty, his original surname was "Xie", and he was later given the surname "Shooting" by the emperor. Shejian had few talents, and when he avoided chaos at the end of the Han Dynasty, he defected to Liu Zhang of Yizhou, but was suspected and criticized. After Liu Bei captured Yizhou, Shejian switched to Liu Bei's clique and became a famous vassal of the Shu Han Dynasty. During his service to the Shu Han Dynasty, Shejian made remarkable achievements in the process of governing the localities, successively serving as the Taishou of Guanghan and Shu Counties, and finally died of illness in office.

Sixth place: Shooting aid. Shooting, ziwenxiong, was the younger brother of the Shu Han dynasty minister Shejian, a native of present-day Xingping City, Xianyang City, Shaanxi Province. As a teenager, he was known for his talent and high character. In his early years, when he avoided chaos, he followed his brother to Liu Zhang, and later switched to Liu Bei. During his service to the Shu Han Dynasty, he was one of Liu Bei's main staff members and one of the main ministers who urged Liu Bei to ascend the throne and become emperor. He made good friends with Zhuge Liang and other famous Shu Han ministers, and later became a general in the military council, and eventually died of illness in office.
