Later, someone told Dianwei that the enemy was ten steps away. Dianwei said, "Wait until the enemy is five steps away from me, and then tell me." Seeing that the enemy was coming, Dianwei held ten halberds and fought bravely to kill the enemy, and as a result, the enemy fell. Therefore, at that time, in Cao Cao's military camp, there was such a saying: "A strong man under the tent has a pawn, and he lifts a pair of halberds and eighty pounds."
Later, Cao Cao was rebelled by Zhang Xiu and almost died, but thanks to the presence of Dianwei, he survived. Dianwei's bravery was vividly demonstrated in this battle. The relevant descriptions in the canonical history are as follows:
Wei Shuang threatened the two thieves to kill them, but the remaining thieves did not dare to move forward. Wei Fu was a thief, killed several people, wounded and re-fired, and died of glare and scolding.
