Porsche 911 non-paved version test spy photo

It's no secret that Porsche is developing an off-the-pave version of the 911. It is believed to be called the Porsche 911 Safari, and we saw a prototype test car for this premium two-door coupe as early as last year. The car will have higher ground clearance than the regular Porsche 911 model, and although it can be understood as an off-road version of the 911, it is actually only able to walk some of the unpaved roads that sports cars will worry about every day.

The most notable highlight of this 911 Safari prototype is the space that is noticeable off the ground. As with previous sightings, it has a 2.0-inch advantage over the regular 911 in ground clearance. It can also be seen that the prototype test car was wearing a set of huge rims about 20 inches in diameter and using a high-performance version of Pirelli tires.

And this time it was exposed that the 911 off-road version appeared in the desert spy photo, the spy photo in the model and the current 911 is not obviously different, but the ground clearance is significantly increased, the wheel brow part is obviously wider, and the place where it is often worn uses a plastic anti-friction guard plate to cover, further reducing the damage to the body when walking on the unpaved road.

And the rear tire is wider than the front tire, will bring more stable grip, as well as non-paving form capability, the test car still uses 20-inch Pirelli tires, the current model is not the final state of the mass production version, it is expected that after the commercial sale, there will be a clear off-road direction identification on the appearance. In terms of power, the new car will be equipped with the same 3.0L twin-turbo horizontally opposed six-cylinder engine and four-wheel drive system as the ordinary 911 Carrera 4S, and the new car will be unveiled in 2022, officially released in 2023, and will be released in limited quantities.
