History is created by people, and all the stories that have happened from ancient times to the present are the stories of people and people. People are wonderful, sometimes they can be fickle, sometimes they can be immutable. Although human beings use technology to make life better, the way people get along with each other has not changed much, and we may have changed into different costumes, but our behavior patterns are indeed not fundamentally different from the behavior patterns of the ancients.

Heavy Ear Gongzi Wandering
There is a monarch in history who once received a special gift - a piece of soil. When he received this gift, he was being hunted down by the monarch of his country, leaving his hometown with little prospects. When he received this piece of land, he did not expect that after more than ten years, he would inherit the territory of the Jin State and even become a generation of overlords. This person is one of the famous "Spring and Autumn Five Powers" - Jin Wen Gong Zhong'er.
It is said that during the Spring and Autumn Period, the Zhou royal family declined, and the princely states were leaderless and constantly conquest. Princes with strong national strength can interfere in the affairs of other countries at will; princes with weak national strength can only watch other countries interfere in their own affairs. At that time, small countries could only be dependent on large countries, which was equivalent to the follow-up of large countries. Even zhou tianzi, the titular co-lord of the world, is only a tool for the princes of a big country to take advantage of their power. In that era, everyone spoke with strength, and those who had no strength could only smile and speak.
Just when the Duke of Qi Huan in the east was trying to rule and deliberately compete for world domination, civil unrest occurred in the Jin state. Everyone understands that it is not easy to engage in construction, and many generations of people who have worked hard may not be able to achieve the ideal goal; but it is different to engage in sabotage, and it is possible to be very "successful" without much effort.
From the day the State of Jin was divided into the Zhou royal family, it was a feudal state with a very close relationship with the Zhou royal family and a very important status. Its founding father was Ji Yu, the son of King Wu of Zhou and the younger brother of King Cheng of Zhou. In the early Spring and Autumn period, the strength of the Jin nobleman Qu Wowu Duke far exceeded that of the jin monarch at that time, the Marquis of Jin, and Qu Wowu led an army to attack the capital city of the Jin state, Yicheng, and grasped the actual power of the Jin state. In 678 BC, Duke Wu of Quwo bribed King Zhou Li and became the monarch of the State of Jin, the Duke of Jinwu. During the reign of Duke Wu of Jin and his son Duke Xian of Jin, the two men worked together to lead the Jin state on the road of external expansion. However, in his later years, Duke Xian of Jin favored the young and beautiful lady Li Ji, which led to a tragedy of cannibalism in the Jin Kingdom.
In 656 BC, Li Ji used a ruse to force Shen Sheng, the eldest son of Duke Xian of Jin, to commit suicide, and two other sons with a virtuous name, Zhong'er and Yiwu, were also forced into exile. They had to flee, because if they didn't flee, they would be killed by Li Ji. In this way, Gongzi Zhong'er embarked on the road of escape. In the process of the escape of the heavy ear, the situation in the various princely states was changing all the time.
In 651 BC, the year that Duke Huan of Qi met the princes in Kuiqiu, Duke Xian of Jin died. Gongzi Xi Qi succeeded to the throne, but before he could sit firmly on the throne, he was assassinated by Dafu Rick and others. At this point, the internal chaos of the Jin Dynasty became more chaotic. Another escaped son of Duke Xian of Jin, Gongzi Yiwu, had better luck. In 650 BC, with the help of the State of Qin, Yiwu returned to the Jin State to succeed to the throne, known as the Duke Hui of Jin.
It was all a curse of power, and for Jin Huigong, the brothers who coveted the throne of the monarch were their greatest enemies. So he sent someone to assassinate his brother Heavy Ear. At that time, Zhong'er was taking refuge in an enemy country, and his entourage heard that the killers sent by Jin Huigong were coming, and they quickly fled in a hurry with Zhong'er. This time, they prepared to flee to the State of Qi.
Heavy Ears liked to make friends with the Sages, and these important Sages had always followed him since he left the Jin Dynasty, never abandoning him. But soon, the heavy ears found a problem: they had no food. The Magi also had to eat, and this group of people followed them all day, and it became a big problem for everyone to eat. When Zhong'er and his party passed by Weiguo, hungry, he saw a group of farmers eating in the field, maybe the year was better, maybe the wild vegetables were fragrant, a group of people were happily eating, and the saliva that saw the heavy ears would "fly down three thousand feet". Therefore, Heavy Ear sent one of his sage foxes to beg for food.
But when the farmers saw that these hungry people were dressed as nobles, they did not want to see them, and said in their hearts: We don't even have enough wild vegetables to eat, so where is the extra food for you? A farmer stood up in disgust, picked up a piece of dirt and handed it to the fox, saying, "Eat it quickly." Heavy Ears saw the piece of soil that the fox had brought back, and thought to himself, "Oh my God, I am a prince of a country, and I actually let me eat soil?" Can I not stand this? "Raise the horse whip at the moment and go over and smoke the farmer." At this time, the fox stopped him and said, "Son, this is a good sign!" Isn't getting the land the land the land? This is what God meant. ”
The ancients believed in the omens, and when they heard them, they felt that they were justified, and they thought that this was the heavens that wanted to entrust the Jin Kingdom to me. So he rolled over and dismounted, respectfully walked over to the farmer and gave a big salute, then took the soil from the fox and took it with him and left. The farmer was stunned, and he certainly did not understand what a piece of soil meant to a man who had lost his country. At this time, Qi Huan had the name of overlord and paid great attention to Corporal Li Xian. After Zhong'er arrived in the State of Qi, Qi Huan entertained Zhong'er with high standards and married his daughter (a daughter of the Emperor) to him. This life of heavy ears is comfortable, and he gradually indulges in this kind of "rubbing rice" days.
Two years later, Duke Huan of Qi died, and chaos broke out within the State of Qi. However, Zhong'er was still obsessed with a comfortable life and did not want to leave the country of Qi. The followers were anxious, following him for so many years, only to find that he was actually an "otaku"! The prince has forgotten his ambition to become a monarch, what can he do? Therefore, this group of resourceful followers thought of a way - drunk on the heavy ears, directly carried to the car and ran. No one could have imagined that these people would end up using the simplest and most direct tricks. By the time Zhong'er woke up, they had already left the Country of Qi. Heavy Ear threw a good temper, but could only embark on the road of exile again. They successively went to the states of Cao, Song, Zheng and other countries, and finally to the state of Chu.
A disgraced prince, but still enjoying the courtesy of the monarch. After three rounds of wine and five flavors of food, King Chu Cheng finally asked, "If you return to the country as a king, how will you repay me?" Sure enough, King Chu Cheng did not treat his ears with courtesy for no reason. It seems that the key question is coming. Hearing this question, he did not know how to answer it for a while, but had to say: "Bird feathers, oxtails, ivory, rhino horns, pearls, agate, silk... The king has everything and is more than enough. For a moment, I really couldn't think of anything to repay the king. ”
King Chu Cheng did not spare him, saying, "Although I do not lack anything, you should at least express it." "Don't you go too far, I'm in exile now, penniless, and I'm repaying you with something?" "But when I think about it, people treat themselves with the taste of the mountains and the treasures of the sea every day, and they also treat each other with the courtesy of the monarch, and they always have to show something." So he said seriously, "If you really want to repay the king... I thought that if one day I and the Great King led the troops to fight in the wilderness of the Central Plains, I would let the Jin army retreat to the land of the Three Houses. The gongzi's heavy ears are indeed extraordinary, and the allusion of "retreating from the three houses" comes from this. "She" is a unit of length in ancient China, one house is equivalent to thirty miles at that time, and three houses are ninety miles.
Zi Yu, the Grand Master of the Chu Kingdom, said to King Cheng of Chu: "You treat Zhong'er with heavy courtesy, but Chong'er is not inferior, you should kill him." Zi Yu had already seen that the heavy ear was extraordinary, and wanted to kill him to avoid any trouble. But King Chu Cheng did not want to do such a thing, he thought, although Zhong'er had been trapped outside for many years, he was able to be reasonable, and his followers were also wizards of statecraft... This is all a divine arrangement, how can it be against providence? Moreover, I have already spoken out, and if I want to help the heavy ear to seize the throne, how can I regret it?
To seek hegemony in the Spring and Autumn Period, we must always adhere to the three principles. The first is credibility. If the reputation is not good, it will be "given a bad evaluation" by the princely states. The second is strength. If the strength is not strong, it will be blatantly provoked by the various princely states. And the third principle is... Always adhere to the first two principles. The overlord of this world, King Chu Cheng, also wanted to be a pawn, so he naturally told the princes with practical actions that he chu cheng king not only had strength, but also talked about credit. In this way, this prince who had received the soil block was heavy-eared, and later returned to China to succeed to the throne, known as the Duke wen of Jin. Soon after, a great war broke out between Jin and Chu, that is, the famous Battle of Chengpu.
Having become a heavy ear to the monarch, he kept his promises, and when the armies of the Jin and Chu countries met, he ordered his army to retreat ninety miles. The Chu army advanced, the Jin army retreated, the Chu army advanced again, the Jin army retreated again, and finally the Chu army followed the Jin army into the encirclement. After the Battle of Chengpu, King Cheng's dream of hegemony was completely shattered. In this way, Duke Wen of Jin became the second true overlord of the princes in the Spring and Autumn Period
