Shanxi Yunshang Cultural Fair Cultural Masters Meeting Room | Ji Kunzhang: The radiation of Jin culture

Introduction to the lecture

Shanxi, abbreviated as "Jin", originated from the state of Jin, a princely state of the Zhou Dynasty. The state of Jin, which began with Shuyu and ended with the division of the three families into the Jin Dynasty, lasted for more than 600 years and dominated the Central Plains for a century and a half. From a small country originally located in the southern corner of Jin, it developed into a large country spanning Jin, Hebei and Yu in the late Spring and Autumn Period, with the middle reaches of the Yellow River, which had a profound impact on the development and evolution of Chinese civilization. Jin culture is the sum of history and material culture jointly created by the Jin people in the Western Zhou, Spring and Autumn and Warring States periods, and its upper limit is marked by Shuyu Feng Tang, and after the three families divided into Jin, Han Zhaowei culture is also part of Jin culture and radiates outward, therefore, the lower limit of Jin culture is marked by the Qin annihilation and three Jin Dynasties.

In this lecture, teacher Ji Kunzhang will interpret the origin, characteristics, core values of Jin culture, radiation and influence on neighboring countries through relevant archaeological discoveries.
