When it comes to the Tang Dynasty, we can always think of the word prosperous, in the history of the Tang Dynasty in the past three hundred years, there were 28 emperors born, of which Tang Taizong laid a solid foundation for the future prosperity of the Tang Dynasty, making the Tang Dynasty in the forefront of the world in both the field of science and technology and the field of culture.
We know that the economic foundation determines the superstructure, in the Tang Dynasty, which has a good economy, the cultural atmosphere is naturally more active, there are many great poets and literati of the Tang Dynasty, among which we are most familiar with Luo Binwang, Li Bai, Du Fu, Bai Juyi, Li Shangyin, etc., of which Li He is called a poet ghost, and Bai Juyi is a poet of the same period, and Li Bai, Li Shangyin and also known as the three Li of the Tang Dynasty.
Li Hezu was the uncle of Emperor Gaozong of Tang, Li Yuan, originally Li He's family should be a famous and prestigious family, but in the development of history, Wu Zetian ordered the killing of many descendants of Gao Zu, and by the time of Li He's father's generation, the Li family had begun to decline and lived in seclusion in a county town. When his father died, the family was even more desolate. In order to make a living, Li He and his brother went to other places to make a living, but the encounter was not very good.
But Li He was very talented, and he read poetry books since he was a child, and at the age of 7 he wrote a poem "Gao Xuan Guo", which was greatly appreciated by the great literati Han Yu and Huang Fuxiang. Originally, he had made great progress and had a bright future, but after he became an adult, he suffered many twists and turns in his career, and he was not particularly satisfactory.
Because of the encounters from childhood to adulthood, many of the poems written by Li He also expressed his boredom about the situation in life, the pursuit of ideals and ambitions, and the satirical dissatisfaction with those who exploited and squeezed the people. Li He's poems always make people feel the vicissitudes that do not match his age.
Later, Li He was in poor health, resigned his official and returned to Luoyang, and on the way, he suddenly felt a feeling and wrote a "Golden Bronze Immortal Ci Han Song", the most famous of which was "Wanlan sent guests to Xianyang Dao, if the sky has love, the sky is old". When this poem was written, it was already the late Tang Dynasty, with constant rebellions everywhere, wars raging, the country's economy plummeting, and the people at the bottom of the ladder were even more miserable. Li He thought of his life situation again, and he was even more emotional, so he wrote this poem to express the sadness of the imminent destruction of the country and the sadness of his own life.
After this poem spread, both at that time and in later generations, the literati especially loved the phrase "if the heavens have love for the heavens and the heavens are old", and specially took it out as a superior link, but many literati could not come up with a beautiful and neat lower link, which also became a major difficulty in the hearts of the literati at that time.
After 200 years, the Tang Dynasty had already been submerged in the long river of history and came to the Northern Song Dynasty, when a talented man named Shi Yannian invited three or five friends to drink and write poetry together. Just when it was rising, one of them took out the upper link that no one could get right, and Shi Yannian was already slightly drunk at this time, and with this momentum of wine, he said to a lower link, "The moon is like a long moon without hatred." After saying that, the friends present tasted this sentence, and after reacting, they clapped their hands and applauded, expressing their admiration for Shi Yannian's talent. Unexpectedly, this sentence overwhelmed the upper league of countless literati, and it was so easily countered.
After this, there are still many literati trying to link down. One of the literati put together the famous quotes of Li Bai and Su Shi and put them together with Li Heshi Yannian to form a couplet:
Ask the wine to the blue sky, and if the sky is affectionate, it will be old
Raise a glass to invite the bright moon, the moon is like a hateless moon long and round.
These four sentences together have no sense of contradiction, and they are very neat up and down.
