A month later, ice and snow athletes and team officials from all over the world gathered at the capital airport from all over the world to take the athlete shuttle bus to the Beijing Winter Olympic Village, get off at the parking lot, and then enter the reception center. After the security check, the members of the delegation go through the procedures such as document activation at the registration desk, and after verifying that the exit verification point is correct, they can smoothly check into the Winter Olympic Village and start their Winter Olympic journey from the "warm home". At the exit of the reception center, there are staff in the field of logistics who provide luggage handling services.

Beijing Winter Olympic Village consists of 20 apartment buildings, 1 operating area and 1 square area with a total construction area of 386,600 square meters. During the Winter Olympic Games, 18 apartment buildings will be opened, and it is expected to receive 1,670 Winter Olympic athletes and team officials from 54 countries and regions who will participate in 7 sports of ice hockey, curling, figure skating, short track speed skating, speed skating, freestyle skiing (big jump) and snowboarding (big jumping); 9 apartment buildings in the West End will be opened during the Winter Paralympic Games, and it is expected to receive 534 Winter Paralympic athletes and team officials from 20 countries and regions who participated in Paralympic ice hockey and wheelchair curling.

Beijing Winter Olympic Village has enhanced comfort and functionality in the room layout, making it more "livable". In the newly decorated athletes' room, a three-bedroom apartment has been arranged as a two-bedroom room, there is a large single bed in the bedroom, there is a stool at the end of the bed for easy to put items on hold, the bedding is clean and tidy, and the bedside has been placed at the head of the athlete's stay package to provide protection for the athletes' washing. Convert the three-bedroom room into a two-bedroom room, and each athlete can have a separate bathroom. At the same time, a room vacated can be used as a conference room or function room, so that each athlete can have a comfortable living space.
The rooms in the Beijing Winter Olympic Village are full of design, not only have a lot of barrier-free facilities that are convenient for athletes during the Winter Paralympic Games, but also take into account the practicality of post-game use. In terms of barrier-free facilities, athletes can pass through the functional service areas in the village without obstacles, the circular barrier-free path is connected to each residential building, all roads are not set up with steps, and the ground does not use grass bricks, small stones and other materials that are not wheelchair accessible. The indoor furniture is convenient for wheelchair users, and the height and style of armrests and switches are convenient for one finger to operate without grasping. Both the bedroom door and the bathroom door are push-pull for easy access for wheelchair-bound athletes.

The windows of the room are quite ingenious. The large glass window ensures sufficient lighting in the room, but the window is sealed and cannot be opened, and when natural wind is needed, a sealing plate like a cabinet door can be opened on the wall next to the window, and the wind can naturally pour into the room through the screen window. This design makes the windows safer and gives residents more peace of mind when using them after the game.
The canteen is a highlight of the Winter Olympic Village, where 678 dishes will be served to people from different cultural backgrounds. The menu is designed to meet different dietary needs and religious and cultural needs. The athletes' menu is designed to take into account both Chinese and Western food, with a ratio of 3:7 between Chinese and Western food. It is understood that the meals provided for athletes are rich, with more than 400 kinds of various ingredients, and there are 9 kinds of pizza alone, such as Margaret pizza and smoked chicken pizza.
A gym with more than 200 kinds of fitness equipment, 4 self-service laundry rooms are already in place, and a hair salon, bookstore, supermarket, and post office are already functional.
