During the Beijing Winter Olympics, Wukesong Cultural and Sports Center had two venues to participate in the support mission: the Cadillac Center, the basketball competition hall of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, as the venue for women's ice hockey and some men's ice hockey, and the newly built Bloomage LIVE Ice Center as an ice hockey training hall. Yuan Yinghui introduced that the number of annual activities held by the venue increased from 9 in 2009 to more than 80 in 2019, the audience increased from 70,000 to more than 1.5 million, and the utilization rate of the venue was as high as 70%.
It is reported that in order to ensure the smooth progress of the ice hockey competition of the Beijing Winter Olympics, from April 2020, the Cadillac Center has undergone an 8-month special transformation.
