The Winter Sports Center of the Provincial Sports Bureau has achieved a rapid improvement in the competitive strength of winter sports in Hebei Province by strengthening the construction of sports teams, improving the level of training and competition, and implementing the policy of "one person, one file" for athletes.

During the preparation period for the Winter Olympics, the center successfully completed the isolation training service guarantee work of 14 snow sports national teams and 92% of snow sports athletes in the Chongli Plateau (National Comprehensive) Training Base, The Hebei Laiyuan National Ski Jumping Training and Scientific Research Base, and the National Hebei Chengde Sports Training Base, achieving "zero infection of service support personnel, zero mistakes in epidemic prevention work, zero accidents in safety work, and zero errors in comprehensive scheduling". The center was awarded the title of "Advanced Collective of Hebei Province for the 2022 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games".

Athletes Yin Zheng and Liu Rongsheng of the Winter Sports Center of the Provincial Sports Bureau, and Kong Xiangrui, deputy secretary of the Party Branch of the Winter Sports Center of the Provincial Sports Bureau, were awarded the title of "Advanced Individual of Hebei Province for the 2022 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games".

At the same time, he took the lead in formulating the "one team, one policy" guarantee plan for the isolation training of the national team, established the sports team package system, scientifically planned the staggered peak training plan, and supervised and inspected the security sanitize, medical waste transfer, food delivery and waste removal, etc., providing a strong guarantee for the athletes to create good results in the Beijing Winter Olympic Games.

The ice and snow sports for the disabled in Hebei Province have achieved from scratch, from weak to strong, leading the country, and the provincial disabled persons' federation has made an indispensable contribution.

The Provincial Disabled Persons' Federation vigorously implements the winter sports project development plan and gold winning plan for the disabled, starts from scratch, forms all 6 major sports teams of the Winter Paralympic Games at a high level, implements "one person, one policy" for athletes, and substitutes for training with competitions, etc., and the level of competition has rapidly improved, laying a solid foundation for "participating in the competition". The leapfrog development of competitive ice and snow sports depends on the consolidation of the foundation of mass ice and snow sports.

According to statistics from domestic authoritative statistical agencies, as of December 31, 2021, 34.79 million people in Hebei Province participated in ice and snow sports, with a participation rate of 46.6%. Behind it, it condenses the concerted efforts and efforts of all relevant units and departments in Hebei Province, as well as enthusiastic enterprises and social figures.

As an important supporting force for the promotion of ice and snow sports in the province, the Provincial Ice and Snow Sports Association was awarded the title of "Advanced Collective of Hebei Province for the 2022 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games". In recent years, the association has joined hands with more than 200 enterprises and institutions to participate in the promotion and popularization of ice and snow sports, carried out more than 2,200 "ice and snow caravans" into the community and into the countryside activities; used more than 10,000 rural loudspeakers to publicize the knowledge of the Winter Olympics; organized more than 500 coaches from ice and snow sports associations at all levels in the province to carry out training, and organized the grass-roots ice and snow sports associations in the province to complete the ice and snow into the campus of more than 1,000 schools. At the same time, the ice and snow sports associations at the municipal and county levels were mobilized to fully participate in the holding of ice and snow games in various places, 8,500 outstanding referees were selected to participate in the adjudication of the event, and more than 8,100 ice and snow promotion and popularization activities and ice and snow events were organized, covering more than 5.3 million people.

Relevant departments in various localities actively promote the popularization and development of mass ice and snow sports. After many efforts, Qinhuangdao City has formed a core area of ice and snow sports in the Liujiang Basin of the Harbor District, three ice and snow sports tourism boutique routes of the Great Wall Ice and Snow, Coastal Ice and Snow, and Colorful Green Dragon, and 52 real ice and snow sports venues in the city, with an average daily reception capacity of more than 70,000 people. At the same time, more than 1,600 social sports instructors in ice and snow projects have been trained, and sufficient teachers have been reserved for the development of ice and snow sports.

In the 2021-2022 snow season, Qinhuangdao City carried out 864 mass ice and snow events, created 42 "six ones" demonstration points for ice and snow sports, and achieved full coverage of ice and snow sports promotion and popularization in the city's communities.
