The mobile phone screen of Chen Dianbao, the traffic manager of Beijing Winter Olympic Village, is always on, and even in the process of introducing the situation, the phone has not been interrupted.
56 cars, 1248 people.
This is the total number of final vehicles and the total number of people departing from the Beijing Winter Olympic Village to confirm the opening ceremony to the Bird's Nest.

It's simple to say, but 4 kilometers of road, pulling athletes and team officials to the opening ceremony and back. However, the final draft is only five pages, and the traffic operation plan for the opening ceremony, which has been discussed since the first day of the establishment of the traffic operation team, has been revised dozens of editions. At 11:30 a.m. on the same day, the final version of the traffic operation plan was finalized.
From 17:50 to 19:15, the shuttle bus departs in two batches to the National Stadium.
At 22:45, the last shuttle bus returns to the Athletes' Shuttle Station in Beijing Winter Olympic Village to drop off passengers.
Among them, the full induction time of the staff is 15:00.
The distance of just a few hundred meters will be cut into six major areas and decentralized management, namely: the open space on the north side of the Flag Square, from Aoyuan West Road to the corner of the parking lot, Aoyuan West Road, the junction of Olympic Sports Middle Road and Aoyuan West Road, Middle Olympic Sports Road, and athletes' shuttle bus exit.
The same is true for vehicles returning to the Winter Olympic Village. The six posts are located at the entrance of the athlete shuttle station, the U-turn on the east side of the drop-off area, the west side of the platform of the Capital Stadium, the east side of the podium, the west side of the Shougang Big Jump Platform, and the east side of the National Stadium.
And that's just part of the work of the traffic operation team in Beijing Winter Olympic Village today.
On February 4 alone, there were eight official games from curling to figure skating to ice hockey, starting at 8:35. Before the opening ceremony, the competition in these events has started early, and the training is even earlier. At 3:55 on the same day, the first training shuttle bus had already departed, and the staff was already in place.
"In addition to the 56 shuttles for the opening ceremony, the vehicles for daily training and competition cannot be delayed at all, and not one can be less." More than 100 vehicles have been prepared in Beijing Winter Olympic Village to the six major competition venues and two non-competition venues to ensure the needs of athletes in various sports and countries.
"Many delegations do not have a confirmed timetable for training, and can only be given a day in advance, sometimes even late, starting from the closed loop, many times can only sleep for two or three hours, temporary needs are a lot." During the conversation, Chen Dianbao rummaged through the stacked documents and scattered clip pages in the bookcase.
The traffic operation team has created a new WeChat group, and the volunteer assistants of each delegation are in the group, and they will keep up with the latest training time, personnel and other itinerary changes at any time. As long as you see it, someone will reply at the first time.
"We all understand that for them, 20 minutes late, 20 minutes less training, may affect the final result of the game, and if the game is late, the consequences are even more unimaginable." The pressure on the traffic operation team is enormous, and for them, silent guardianship seems to have become a common thing.
At 20:00 on February 4, the opening ceremony of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics will officially begin.
For the traffic operation team of Beijing Winter Olympic Village, most of them will not appear on the scene, but in order for the opening ceremony to start smoothly, in order to allow these 1248 people to sit in the bird's nest on time, the work of these behind-the-scenes heroes has already quietly begun.
