The 15th Army was reorganized from Nakano's Ninth Column in February 1949, and on June 1, 1961, the 15th Army was reorganized into the 15th Airborne Army of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, and the restructuring was completed.
Qin Jiwei

In the Liberation War he served as commander of Nakano's Ninth Column!
Later, the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea broke out, he led the 15th Army to fight in Korea, the world-famous Battle of Shangganling was fought by Qin Jiwei's 15th Army as the main force, in 1955 Qin Jiwei was awarded the rank of lieutenant general, in 1988 he was awarded the rank of general, General Qin Jiwei served as the commander of the 15th Army for 4 years and 3 months!
Li Chengfang

Li Chengfang joined the Red Army at the age of 15 and was a small Red Army member; he was also a fierce general in the Eyu-Anhui Soviet District, and he participated in successive anti-encirclement and suppression struggles. After the outbreak of full recovery, he served in the Shanxi Death Column, leading his troops to use the Sparrow War and so on to negotiate with the Japanese, in the Liberation War he served as a brigade commander, under the command of Chen Geng, was one of the four fierce and crazy under Chen Geng, he was originally the commander of the 14th Army, and later served as the acting commander of the 15th Army, in 1955 General Li Chengfang was awarded the rank of lieutenant general, and General Li Chengfang served as the acting commander for 10 months!
Zhao Lantian

General Zhao Lantian joined the Red Army in 1933, when he was affiliated with the Red Fourth Front, he basically participated in the large and small battles of the Red Fourth Front, and later participated in the Long March of the Red Fourth Front. After the outbreak of the All-out War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, General Zhao Lantian served as the instructor of the 129th Division Company, and he participated in a series of anti-Japanese struggles such as the night attack on Yangmingbao, the Xiangtangpu Ambush Battle, and the Battle of Changle Village. Later, Zhao Lantian was the commander of the 15th Army and the last commander of the 15th Army, and he served as the commander of the army for a total of 4 years and 6 months!
Xiang Shouzhi

General Xiang Shouzhi first joined the Young Pioneers, and later transferred to our party, became a member of our army, Xiang ShouzhiChuan Shaanxi Soviet District anti-"siege" operations and the Long March, after the outbreak of the all-out War of Resistance, Xiang Shouzhi served as the deputy company commander of the 129th Division of the Eighth Route Army, and participated in the Battle of Garinnan and the 1945 offensive operation in Taihang District. After the victory of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Xiang Shouzhi served as the deputy commander of the 1st detachment of the Taihang Military Region, the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, Xiang Shouzhi served as the chief of staff of the 15th Army, and later served as the commander of the 15th Army, General Xiang Shouzhi was awarded the rank of major general in 1955, was awarded the rank of general in 1988, and Xiang Shouzhi served as the commander of the army for 1 year and 1 month!
We can see that from the establishment to the restructuring of the 15th Army, there were a total of five commanders (including agents), of which General Zhao Lantian served as a military commander twice, and the term of office was also up to 4 years and 6 months! Of course, it should be said that the first military commanders Qin Jiwei and Li Chengfang will be lieutenant generals, and Zhao Lantian and Xiang Shouzhi are both major generals.
