In the previous article, talking about some of the situation of the 8th detachment of the Eighth Route Army established during the uprising in Niutou Town, Shouguang County, Shandong Province, today I will talk to you about the Caijialanzi Uprising in Weixian County, Shandong Province, and who are the main leaders of the 7th Detachment of the Ludong Guerrilla Group of the Eighth Route Army that was established?
Cai Jia Lanzi is located in Wei county, Shandong Province, and is now Gudi Subdistrict, Hanting District, Weifang City, Shandong Province. During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, it was under the leadership of the Ludong Working Committee, and at the end of December 1937, the Japanese army continued to invade the east after crossing the Yellow River in the south, and soon approached the Changwei area, while Li Wenli, the governor of Weixian County of the Kuomintang, abandoned the city and fled after hearing that the Japanese army had crossed the Mi River. On January 9, 1938, the Japanese army easily occupied the county seat of Weixian County.
In view of this situation, the Ludong Working Committee decided to launch an uprising on January 27, 1938, and instructed the Changyi County Party Committee to quickly organize the insurgents of Changyi to assemble in Changbei and openly raise the banner of "the seventh detachment of the Ludong guerrilla group of the Eighth Route Army" to cooperate with the uprising in Weixian County.
On January 27, 1938, before dawn, more than 300 people who participated in the uprising gathered in The Village of Caijialanzi in Weibei. In the afternoon of the same day, the rebel command posted a notice clarifying the nature and tasks of the "seven detachments". The next day, the troops held a military and civilian meeting at the gate of the school, and Lu Shengsan, secretary of the Ludong Working Committee, presided over the meeting. After the meeting, the rebel fighters of the troops were organized into three squadrons, and the cadres of each squadron were identified at the same time.
The leader of the 7th detachment of the Ludong guerrilla group of the Eighth Route Army was Wang Peihan. Wang Peihan was a native of Xiaowa Village, Laicheng (now Part of Laicheng District, Laiwu City), who joined the army at an early age, participated in the Northern Expedition, and joined the Communist Party. Later, he served as the director of the Kuomintang Fei County Public Security Bureau, a military instructor at the Boxing Normal Training Institute, and the deputy military commander of the Boxing Peasant Rebellion, and later did underground party work in Changyi. At the end of 1939, he was killed in the wrong case of "Sutuo" at the age of 45. He was later rehabilitated and posthumously recognized as a revolutionary martyr.
The political commissar is Lu Shengsan, secretary of the Ludong Working Committee. He was a native of Laiwu, Shandong Province, joined the Party in 1930, and was one of the early leaders of the Laiwu County Party organization. He once served as an inspector of the Shandong Provincial Party Committee and the propaganda director of the Shandong Provisional Working Committee of the Communist Party of China. After the beginning of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, he served as the secretary of the Ludong Working Committee, led the Weibei Anti-Japanese Armed Uprising and established the Seventh Detachment of the Ludong Guerrilla Brigade of the Eighth Route Army. On April 7, 1938, he was killed by Jin Yan, a bad member who was mixed into seven detachments, at the age of 33.
Wang Yizhi is the director of the Political Department. Wang Yizhi, a native of Wenden, Shandong, joined the revolution in 1926, was sent to study at the Oriental University in Moscow, returned to China due to illness as a teacher in Weixian County, and served as the director of the political department after participating in the Caijialanzi Uprising. In late July 1938, when the troops were passing through the Weihe River in Changyi, they unfortunately fell into the water and died at the age of 35.
After advancing into Lunan, the 7th detachment and 8 detachments of the Ludong guerrilla regiment of the Eighth Route Army were incorporated into the 8th detachment of the Shandong Column, and after the Liberation War, they were incorporated into the 7th Regiment of the 3rd Division and the 11th Regiment of the 4th Division of the Shandong Military Region, the 8th Column of the East China Field Army, and the 26th Army of the People's Liberation Army, making outstanding contributions to the independence and liberation of the Chinese people. Regrettably, however, none of the main leaders of the "7 Detachments" at the beginning of their existence could see the victory of the War of Resistance and the establishment of the Republic, but we must never forget their exploits.
