After the death of The Founding Lieutenant General Qin Jian, two marshals and 22 generals sent him off together

On July 15, 1959, a founding lieutenant general died of illness at the age of 48.

At that time, Chen Yi, Ye Jianying, Su Yu, Huang Kecheng, Zhang Yunyi, Xu Shiyou, Liu Yalou, and other 24 founding generals formed a funeral committee, and Mr. Peng also sent people to send wreaths, and the specifications of the memorial service were very high.

The highly respected founding lieutenant general was named Qin Jian.

Qin Jian was born in 1911 in Donglan County, Guangxi, and participated in the Donglan Revolution led by Wei Baqun very early, and later participated in the Baise Uprising led by Zhang Yunyi and others, becoming an excellent Red Army soldier.

Qin Jian joined the revolution earlier, participated in countless battles, came out of the rain of bullets and bullets, and his family sacrifice was also very large.

Because Qin Jian participated in the revolution, the local reactionaries did everything they could to oppress his family, Qin Jian's mother, sister, and brother all died in the struggle against the Kuomintang reactionaries, and his father also fled to the mountains because of the persecution of the reactionaries, lived the life of a savage, and finally died of hunger and cold.

It can be said that Qin Jian's family was sacrificed for the revolution and had a vendetta against the reactionaries!

However, Qin Jian did not know all this at the time, until he returned to his hometown for the first time after the founding of the People's Republic of China, he did not know the news that his family had been sacrificed, and tears fell like rain.

After Qin Jian participated in the Baise Uprising, he became a soldier in the 7th Army of the Red Army, and because he was very brave in battle, he was soon promoted to squad leader.

Soon after, the company's logistics management platoon leader was killed in battle, and Qin Jian was recommended as a platoon leader.

In that era, there was an extreme shortage of materials, coupled with the fact that Qin Jian had not done these tasks before, whether it was food or various guarantees were not in place, Qin Jian was often talked about behind the back by some veterans.

Qin Jian felt that he had tried his best, not only did he not get praise but was discussed, the more he thought about it, the more uncomfortable he became, and he directly picked up the pick and did not do it, and wanted to return to his hometown to become a guerrilla.

Later, when the regimental commander talked to him, he realized that he had made a liberal mistake and sincerely accepted the punishment, demoting him from platoon leader to a cook.

Qin Jian did not become depressed in his position as a cook, but devoted himself to his work with great enthusiasm, whether it was marching to fight or burying the stove to cook, he did a very good job, and in several battles he also charged forward, and quickly won the praise of everyone, saying that he was the least afraid of death in the company.

Not long after, Qin Jian was transferred from a cook to a combat squad leader, and in 1931 he gloriously joined the Communist Party of China, and was also sent to the Red Army University to study, and directly became a platoon leader after graduation.

However, fate always seemed to be joking with him, and it just so happened that the Soviet district was carrying out a purge, and the fact that he had wanted to leave the army and go home to fight guerrilla warfare was brought up again and he was arrested.

Fortunately, the leader also knew about his matter, came forward to help him intercede, and finally saved a life, but was once again demoted from platoon leader to ordinary soldier.

Promoted twice to platoon commander and demoted to ordinary warrior twice, Qin Jian's experience may be rare among all the founding generals.

However, these setbacks did not bring him down, but on the contrary, Qin Jian's fighting spirit was further sharpened, and in less than a year, he was promoted from a soldier to the commander of the guard company of the Red Third Army, and even General Manager Peng praised him to the chief of staff Deng Ping:

"That small company commander in Guangxi, with strong enough willpower and hard enough to fight, should be a good seedling in the future!"

In the period of the all-out War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Qin Jian served as the deputy commander of the 688th Regiment of the 344th Brigade of the 115th Division of the Eighth Route Army, the commander of the 23rd Regiment of the 8th Brigade of the 3rd Division of the New Fourth Army, the commander of the Huai Naval District, and the commander of the Tongsu Naval Sub-district.

It turned out that in the later stage of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, the Japanese did not dare to attack on a large scale, and could only shrink in the bunkers of the artillery towers and did not dare to come out, and when our army pulled out the stronghold, there were a lot of casualties. Qin Jiansi thought about it and invented a "dead dog array" method.

What is the "Dead Dog Array"? It was Qin Jian who called on the nearby compatriots, who had dead dogs, to send them and throw them under the bunkers of rikou. Because the weather was very hot, these dead dogs quickly decayed, and the Japanese who were hiding in the bunker smelled these pungent odors, vomited incessantly, and many people were also infected with diseases.

At night, these Rikou did not dare to stop, Qin Jian and his warriors constantly attacked, and also beat gongs and drums, so that these Rikou did not dare to sleep at all, exhausted, and finally ran away in ashes.

This move is too desperate, our army did not lose a single person, not a single bullet, it drove the Japanese away, you say it is not strong?

After the outbreak of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, Qin Jian, then chief of staff of the Ninth Corps, accompanied song Shilun, commander of the corps, to Beijing, and General Manager Zhu personally received them and encouraged the Ninth Corps to heroically kill the enemy after entering the DPRK. Finally, Mr. Zhu also personally taught Qin Jian the opportunity to explain the strategic and tactical issues after the Korean battlefield.

After the Ninth Corps arrived on the Korean battlefield, it quickly entered the battle, like the famous Battle of Chosin Lake, which Qin Jian specifically participated in commanding, although the losses were heavy, But Qin Jian was still praised by Chairman Mao by name.

After Qin Jian returned to China, he served as deputy chief of staff of the Nanjing Military Region, responsible for the military training of the troops, and became Xu Shiyou's right-hand man. In 1955, Qin Jian was awarded the rank of lieutenant general.

Unfortunately, Qin Jian suffered from liver cancer due to overwork and died on July 15, 1959 at the age of 48.
