In November 1950, the Americans began to retreat south, but on the way to their retreat, they encountered a shocking scene.
As the Americans turned over the hill, they saw rows of soldiers with steel guns motionless, their muzzles aimed in the direction of the American retreat. But the trenches were very quiet, 129 volunteer soldiers seemed to be asleep, the wind and snow formed ice on their clothes, and they were frozen into ice sculptures!
