Huawei's Intelligent Vehicle Innovation Center will be opened, and the vehicle-level intelligent networking test site will be opened next year

Beijing News Shell Financial News (reporter promised) On December 21, during the 2021 Huawei Intelligent Vehicle Solution Ecological Forum, huawei's intelligent vehicle solution innovation center (hereinafter referred to as the "innovation center") was officially put into use. Located in Huawei's Suzhou Research Institute, the Innovation Center will be open to automotive customers and partners for joint development, testing, verification, and display of results. In addition, as a vehicle-level test center, the Yangcheng Peninsula Intelligent Network Test Site is expected to be opened next year.

It is understood that the innovation center has a total area of about 2,000 square meters, including 9 exhibition areas, displaying Huawei's products, open capabilities and partner joint innovation achievements, and setting up 9 laboratories such as MDC, fusion sensing, voice, vision, acoustics, cockpit ecological innovation, in-vehicle network, vehicle control innovation, etc., and the laboratory provides development tools, testing tools, experimental equipment, and more than 100 engineer resources to support the development, testing and verification of joint innovation projects with partners.

Huawei said that Huawei will provide technical training and laboratory environments for partners, follow the principles of openness, cooperation, and win-win results, jointly promote joint innovation of intelligent vehicles, cultivate talents and commercial success, and help car companies build "good cars". The digital transformation of the automotive industry is complex and challenging, and in the era of intelligent vehicles with computing and software as the core, the development, testing and verification models have changed dramatically, requiring the construction of new models and capabilities, as well as the strengthening of close collaboration and joint development of industry partners.

On the Yangcheng Peninsula, not far from the innovation center, Huawei has built a new intelligent network test field covering an area of 600 acres, including three major sections: the system test laboratory area, the intelligent driving test area, and the dynamic performance test area, which are expected to be put into use next year. In the test site, Huawei used 3,000 typical traffic accident scenarios in China as a reference, looked for the typical risk characteristics of static road elements through cluster analysis, and referred to Huawei's practical experience and needs, and built infrastructure including 14 system laboratories, 13 test areas, 103 road static elements, and a dynamic control square with a diameter of 300m, which can accommodate more than 200 testers for office work.
