The online car market learned from the official Dongfeng Fengshen that its new SUV (code name G59) will be unveiled on December 28 and announced the naming. The Fengshen G59 is built based on the new DSMA architecture, positioned to be more high-end than the SUV on sale, and is expected to be equipped with 1.5T and 1.5T hybrid power. After the future listing, the Fengshen G59 will mainly compete for the third-generation Haval H6, Changan CS75 PLUS and other models. Referring to the naming rules of the three cars of the Fengshen Yixuan family, it is expected that the new car will continue the naming method of "Yi X", combined with its SUV model identity, and it is not excluded to be named "Yiyue".
Judging from the previous spy photos, the front face of the Fengshen G59 is equipped with a large-size straight waterfall intake grille, and the two sides are not small air intakes, which further highlights the sense of movement. The side shape of the new car is a small slipback design, the through-waist line is simple, it is expected to focus on the large five-seat layout, the rear of the car is equipped with a two-stage spoiler above, and the bottom is a bilateral double exhaust layout. In terms of body size, the Fengshen G59 is expected to be positioned as an A+ SUV, and the size may be larger than the AX7.
