Tesla said the radar, which consists of 4 transmitters and 3 receiving antennas, will have the ability to provide depth perception, can penetrate softer materials such as blankets, and can distinguish between children and objects, reducing the possibility of false alarms.

This three-in-one configuration can also be seen as Tesla's countermeasure to prevent car owners from turning off the AVAS warning sound on their own. Previously, some Tesla owners wanted to turn off the vehicle's AVAS warning sound, they would disconnect the connection of the AVAS warning sound speaker without authorization, and the vehicle's horn and alarm device could be used normally.
