BYD's version of the "Model 3" is new again!
Car East April 27 news, a few days ago, a group of BYD seals interior drawings exposed. Judging from the exposure map, BYD's seal interior continues the design concept of the exterior, using a more youthful "marine aesthetic" design.
In the steering wheel section, the seal adopts a bionic design, so that the overall shape of the steering wheel resembles the tail fin of a seal; according to the details of the interior drawings, we also found that the seal's car is equipped with a HUD head-up display, Dana audio, etc.
Previously, it was reported that BYD's new car Seal would be publicly unveiled at the Beijing Auto Show, but because this year's Beijing Auto Show was postponed due to the epidemic, it is likely that the new car will be released in May.

Based on the interior drawings, we noticed a HUD head-up display in front of the SEAL dashboard, which is expected to have a similar display to the W-HUD on BYDHan. In addition, seals use a full LCD dashboard and a rotating screen, and the overall screen layout is close to the destroyer 05 of the warship series.

Interestingly, the operating area under the SEAL center console has also adopted a new design, and the gear handle adopts a crystal transparent gear, which is similar to the shape of Porsche's new 911. And the crystal gear is surrounded by electronic handbrakes, automatic parking, air conditioning automatic, seat ventilation, kinetic energy recovery and power mode buttons. In front of the crystal gear are two mobile phone wireless charging panels, which can better meet the charging needs of drivers and passengers.

According to the previously exposed parameter information, the new car will provide 3 endurance versions of the model, and the CRUIC mileage will be 550 km, 650 km and 700 km under CLTC conditions. The price range of new cars will be between 220,000 and 280,000 yuan.

According to the official pictures, this new SEAL car is very sporty in design. This seal is positioned as a 5-seat medium-sized pure electric sedan with a wheelbase of about 2900mm, coupled with a slip-back design, so this car is somewhat similar to tesla Model 3, NIO ET5 and even BYD Han.

It is reported that the SEAL will have two forms of rear drive and four-wheel drive, the standard endurance model is equipped with a rear motor of 150kW (about 204 horsepower); the long-endurance version is equipped with a rear motor of 230kW (about 313 horsepower); the top four-wheel drive version of the front and rear motor total power of 390kW (about 530 horsepower), zero hundred acceleration only takes 3.8 seconds.
In addition, this SEAL will most likely be equipped with BYD's lithium iron phosphate blade battery and use BYD's e-platform 3.0 to build. The new platform brings a new chassis design, and the seal will also be paired with a double wishbone suspension for a better driving feel.

Last year, BYD's sales of new energy vehicles have been good, and the annual sales volume has reached the level of 600,000 units. Although there is still a big gap between last year's sales performance and Tesla, the current leader in the global electric vehicle market, at the beginning of this year, BYD occupied the top spot with more than 90,000 vehicles per month, an increase of nearly 358.4% year-on-year.
