At the 2024 Beijing Auto Show, BYD debuted two new Haiyangwang cars, namely the Seal 06 DM-i and the Hiace 07EV.

The Seal 06 DM-i is the third model named after "Seal", the first two are the Seal EV and the Seal DM-i, it seems that BYD intends to develop the Seal into a product series, and the Seal 06 DM-i will become the entry model of this sequence after its launch, which can be understood as the twin model of the Qin L.

However, the appearance of the seal 06 DM-i is more obvious than that of other seal models, and the design of the entire front face does not show the so-called family design, especially the C-shaped headlights, but the tail slip-back line and through the taillight shape have the commonality of the seal family. As far as this model is concerned, the appearance should be able to meet the aesthetics of the corresponding user group, and the temperament is younger and sportier than Qin L.

The interior of the Seal 06 DM-i has a distinctly family-style style, but the instrument cluster is floating rather than recessed, and the profile of the button module where the shift lever is located is round rather than square.

In terms of space, the body length and width of the Seal 06 DM-i are 4830/1875/1495mm, and the wheelbase is 2790mm.

In terms of power, the seal 06 DM-i may be equipped with BYD's new generation of DM-i technology like Qin L, and the fuel consumption and comprehensive range will be significantly improved, according to the information disclosed so far, it provides 60km and 90km two pure electric range versions, which can also be seen that the positioning of the seal 06 DM-i is indeed relatively entry-level.

Another new car is the Hiace 07 EV, which is positioned as a mid-size SUV as a new sequence of Ocean Net, which can be regarded as a twin model of the Song L.

The Hiace 07 EV continues the concept of the Ocean X concept in terms of design, and is similar to the Seal EV. Although it is positioned as an SUV, it seems that it only forcibly increases the suspension travel to prop up the car, and from the side you can see that its posture is very low, the tail looks very crossover, and it is even equipped with a large diffuser decoration, as long as the height of the car is lowered, it is a hatchback performance EV. Its body size is 4830/1925/1620mm, and the wheelbase is 2930mm, which is very consistent with the Song L.

The layout and design of the interior are very similar to the seal EV, so I won't go into detail here. In terms of configuration, the Hiace 07 EV is particularly worth mentioning for the L2+ high-end intelligent driving assistance system, which has a number of driving functions such as lane keeping, lane piloting, paddle lane change, traffic sign recognition, and intelligent speed limiting, but it does not yet have the ability of high-speed or urban NOA.

In terms of power, the Hiace 07 EV is available in two versions, two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive, of which the two-wheel drive version is divided into two outputs: 170kW and 230kW, while the four-wheel drive version has a combined output of 390kW.

BYD adopts the tactics of the sea of cars, through the continuous introduction of new models to occupy each market segment, and finally achieve far ahead of the sales and market share, the model design of the ocean network is generally younger and sportier, corresponding to younger consumers, with the appearance of these two models, I believe that it can indeed attract many users after the listing.
